It's pouring down in Essex right now and the forecast is lots of rain all tonight and tomorrow so things may be touch and go for Sunday. Lucky for me it's only an hour's drive

Re-arrange the game??? Have a heart lads. After the new year we get those 5 grand fines for each game re-arranged. Please have a heart. Weathers fine down here. Game at mo is not in the slightest doubtful. Get your guys down here and help finance any future fines as well as maybe see a surprise result.

Rained all night. Very damp. Forecast for more rain. Dover playing on the surface today, May cut up a lot. Dont need anymore rain. I may have been a little optimistic yesterday but nevertheless havent heard that there is any doubt about the game being played on sunday. Have to wait until after the dover game to see what state the pitch is in. Am very hopeful of a game and victory. Yes, that would be a rarity come true for us as well. A home victory.

Surely if any game was to be off it should be the Dover game today to save the pitch for a more important league game on Sunday.

Which game will bring in the greatest match revenue?

Was the case previously that we had first choice but now they do and I dont see how they would allow that to happen even though we know which is the more important game as far as we are concerned. But dont think they will see it like that and to be honest who can blame them. To them it is also a very important game. Their game may well be called off but that wont guarantee us a game will it.? Lets be positive and hope for a go ahead on sundays game anyway.

Don't Margate pay Dover a set fee for the season and then collect the gate receipts for their matches themselves?
I have to be honest I'd agree with loyalshrew, Dover's match should take priority as it's their ground.
I'm praying it's not off though, that's the last thing we need.

We pay a fee per game and only take around 40% of gate receipts LESS expenses. That is what I have heard anyway.

It doesn't look good lads and lasses,
DAFC have just put a request on their messageboard and local radio requesting the help of volunteers to clear water off the pitch for today's game.

margate should do the decent thing and switch to the meadow
they could probably come to an agreement where they make more money than they would at dover
and even if town laid on free buses for the margate fans i'm sure both teams would be better off
i'm full of great ideas today ;D
