The problem is, as I have discovered, that if your viewpoint is not in tune with the viewpoint of some people on here they resort to personal insults rather than arguing their corner.

No, it means I said something you disagreed with. You'd obviously run out of arguments so you resorted to insults. Its because squire that you cannot get it into your brain or seem not to that nevermind how much we all love STFC and GM we cannot stay there, as finances and restrictions do not comply. The more and more tiimes its gone over the more and more times I believe it becomes a pointless conversation. If you think I was insulting you saying "thick skull" I so do apologise, but I could really have insulted you by calling you a Jester or a Wrexham supporter now surely thats worse

That is way off mark. I had a totally different view to Welshshrew over the ManU/Glazer thing. We both argued our corner and agreed to disagree. I disagree with loads of people on here. The only time I personally insult them is if I know them.

I personally agree with Steve Rogerson, thats one of the reasons why i don't bother posting on here hardly anymore and i am sure i am not the only one?

The only time I personally insult them is if I know them. It did not seem off mark to Steve Rogerson though. Not all posters are like you, Andrew. He definitely got a lot of stick at the week-end over the New Meadow. I only read it after the event, and haven't checked back tonight, but there were people posting who just assumed everyone should agree with them.

I only read it after the event, and haven't checked back tonight, but there were people posting who just assumed everyone should agree with them. I have stopped reading threads about the New Meadow to be honest, as it is all very depressing, the way it has all panned out. So I have gone back and read that thread right through. Steve certianly has some interesting ideas but surely the cost of such a project cannot be justified, and some people on that thread with a lot of knowledge on the subject have said so. He does take some stick but he seems a big lad and argues his corner well. I always thought messageboards were for different people to put different ideas forward and others to join in agreement or disagreement.

It all depends on what you find annoying
I enjoy a good bit of banter about the New meadow and have changed my thinking somewhat having been a staunch disciple of the gospel of Keith to actually wondering what on earth is going on
Some of Steve's questioning has been answered tens of times before, hence people get frustrated, but I don't think it is much deeper than that
I find it annoying when people compare todays Shrewsbury players to those in the Turner team. Yes they were great and we are crap, but this is who we are now and the question isn;t what we were but it is who can we be?

I think Steve upset a lot of people with his 'basic competence' remarks which were essentially personal attacks around the shrewsTRUST thing. It certainly riled me, but that was concluded amicably The most annoying thing for me is people who post as 'guest'. I don't expect anyone to give their identity away but at least come up with a name (i.e.'Dicky Knee') and stick with it.

That OK Gareth Me I get loads of stick on here for being right but keep coming back for more. ;D Have to say though if you dont agree with the the majority view then it becomes difficult and you know you are eventually due some abuse from the key board warrior brigade.
