Trouble is Baalfy, as I mentioned earlier in this thread, all the stuff about booing is just IMO a smokescreen. Quinn et al are looking for excuses for a poor display and I think its a shame that they decide to lay it on the fans. If being cheered onto the pitch and having every players name greeted with applause when they come out for the start doesnt inspire them for the first 45 mins, then why should being booed at the end of that 45 mins demorilise them.
No body wants to boo, and I dont think anyone would boo even if town were loosing half time 2 nil, if they had played with determination, as well as they are capable, 100% effort and shown a desire to win.
Tinno can talk anyway, I dont suppose for a second when him and howie have their little miss understandings he explains eloquantly to him the importance of coming off his line. Looks more like a rocket where the sun dont shine to me.

No body wants to boo, and I dont think anyone would boo even if town were loosing half time 2 nil, if they had played with determination, as well as they are capable, 100% effort and shown a desire to win. I know football's a funny old game, but if they did all that, I very much doubt they'd be losing 2-0 in this league... We can all agree that the team are failing to fulfill their potential (and our expectations). Seldom have they settled and played the other team off the park, as we know they could do. Generally, you'll notice, they can turn it on when they're ahead by a couple of goals or more. They've relaxed, they know they're going to win and, for once, not get criticised. We're basically saying the same thing, though. We're both saying "it's not good enough". I just feel that half-time booing is too extreme, contributes nothing, and may even lift the opposition who have successfully stifled us for 45 minutes. "Hey! We've got their fans on their backs". Booing simply says to the team "You've been cr@p." A disgruntled chant of "sort it out!" says far more. It says "It's been cr@p so far, but we know you can still win."

I personally have never booed my own team, while I understand why people do, I think that frosty silence speaks volumes - my mummy always said if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all

Amy. Me too. But I guess our patience is getting thinner than JQ's hair... Tinno can talk anyway, I dont suppose for a second when him and howie have their little miss understandings he explains eloquantly to him the importance of coming off his line. Looks more like a rocket where the sun dont shine to me. Tinno's the captain. It's part of his job to (shall we say) motivate the team. Also, he seems to hate ****-ups, especially when it looks like it may have been his fault...
