No need whatsoever. The local police go and stick their noses in where it isn't wanted again. There was no trouble at the league game so why would there be at this?

The FA Trophy game will take place on Saturday 28th February with a 12:00 noon kick-off.
The time has been set after discussions between local police, the clubs and the Conference.
If a replay is required there will be a 10-day gap to allow police to prepare for the game.
The Conference game at the Bucks Head has also bee rescheduled, this will now take palce on Tuesday 6th April with a 7:45pm kick-off.
Does'nt say if the game in April is going to be all ticket.

To say i'm p**sed off with that would be an understatement. What a load of bollox.
Innocent fans are once again affected by a few idiots actions in the past.

Im sorry but what difference does a 12pm and a 3pm ko have? If someone wants to getted p**sed to cause trouble they will. If they are going to start trouble they will. Why does the Football Club give in to police pressure time and time again?

If it does go to a replay I guess the Leigh game will have to be postponed and we'll lose the SKY date.
Useless.

great an early kick off so thugs can then terrorise the town centre for the rest of the day.
who makes these decisions? They ought to be sacked.

if the club protested tho' and there was some trouble the club would get massacred by the press and the police. Its not worth the hassle

why can't the two clubs finish it on the day, rather than risk a replay, We dont want a further backlog of fixtures just as telford won't want that either. The league after all is priority.

What a bunch of useless tart bags, all over the country derby's get played at 3:00 and just because our police force think there gods gift then we all have to suffer for there over reaction. The West Mercia are so cut off from the real world it's pathetic.

It will be interesting if there is a replay. I bet we will play Leigh on the Monday, and have the replay on the Wed or Thursday of the same week. At least the Woking game will be ok. But I miss the league game at Bucks Head - on holiday. or

Stupid decision IMHO. A 3pm kick off would have suited more people, as exiles would have more time to travel to Shrewsbury! It's possible that I'll be down south on the friday night before the game so will have to leave early on the saturday morning to get to Shrewsbury!
Oh well!

It is a pain in the arse for exiles, however it will also mean having to set the video to catch soccer am's, socceret on a home match day

Wouldn't matter to me if they played it at 4.00am on a Tues morning. I'd still be there and have a few pints before the game. There won't be any trouble if Wolves are playing at home and the so=called Stirchley Crew wouldn't frighten my 7 year old.
Mind you the local plod will be out in force for 2 reasons:
1. To take full advantage of their overtime allowances and:
2. To spend the proposed 14% increase from the Poll Tax bill for the coming year.
Loads of 'em in evidence at footie matches' but where the frig are they at "real" crimes? Answer? Absolutely nowhere to be found (apart from the canteen)

Cant really understand the logic myself as Telford is only 12 miles up the road and a n early kickoff of 12 noon is hardly likely to prevent a firm travelling is it?
Both sets will have boys out regardless of whether this game kicked off at 9am or 12 midnight its pretty meaningless to change to an early kickoff, the only people to suffer are exiles - the boys will be there come what may.
Another strange decision by Laptop if you ask me, dont they know the pubs will be open at 11am or earlier?
