"Why, oh why, are you lot so arrogant about your 'huge fanbase!'. On what grounds?"
Er, because we have a big fanbase perhaps? How many other conference clubs are averaging 4,000 this season?

yes we shouldnt rise the prices but we have, they match your prices and you dont appreciate it when people moan at how much they have to pay at yours so stop moaning about having to pay the same at our ground (where youll get better facilities - toilets, food, bar before the game and at half time in the stand etc and possibly a better view.)
as its been said your club must of agreed to the price rise
and as for us being a "shambles" try asking the police why they have left it this late - all the announcements from your club about it not being all ticket are because tufcs board didnt want it all ticket.
you wanted the east terrace, you got it you wanted all ticket - you got it (late in the day i know)
will you lot ever be happy??
money grabbing barstewards? how that line can be justified when you charge that at EVERY home game i dont know

Sorry Lee but I don't agree.
The decision has been made today - a full 10 days after the initial tie and 7 days before the game. Due to tickets being printed Town have from only Friday to sell them - with no home game inbetween now and the game at Telford.
I agree that the decision now is my favoured one but it's ridiculous as to how long it's taken TUFC and their local police force to make the decision.

yes the decision has been left late - my original post didnt get that across - yes its a shambles
but the moaning on here today thats aimed at anything other than the timing is useless and wastefull imo
plus reading all this has stopped me starting my 1000 essay due in 2moro and im off to burton soon with benny the buck ;D!

Lee, keep your cool mate, there are right's and wrong's on all sides of this and that includes West Mercia Constabulary. The way i look at it now is that it just adds a bit more spice to the event. I can't wait now, bring it on. Are you available for a drink mid afternoon in Wellington on the day of the match, i shall be on the lash from about 3:30

My point was that STFC called easily have said, no we want Telford to charge normal admission fees. They didnt tho'. It clearly states that the admission fee has to be agreed by the two clubs. There for Salop at some stage have to have agreed that £12 was a fair enough charge to expect fans to fork out for again.
While I applaud the decision visavie Leigh RMI (school children in the station end) I deplore the way the Town fans are being taken for a ride finacially speaking by the club.
Are they going to continue taking advantage of STFC supporters, working (I assume) off the premise well we kept admission down for the FA Cup games?
Its not good enough, and if we dont go up, the board will find it nigh on impossible to put prices up let alone freeze them.
Thats my point Ian
and as for being supportive, well I dont boo the team, I applaud decisions such as the Leigh RMI admittance of school children and i accept at face value most of what the board says, altho' they sometimes appear to be a little economic with the truth.

I think it's brilliant.
Everyone's a winner....apart from the average football supporter, and what would Andy Shaw know about them anyway?
Didn't even come back from one of his regular holidays for your biggest match for years!
LOL!
