Quinn could get you promoted by the end of the season and you'll be looking a bit silly then Last season Wolves were decidely ropey in a lot of their games but still went up through the play-offs. Only Chester have been consistent this season - it is still possible to get promoted while playing numerous games below your best. Yes, and look at Wolves now. We are at present a big fish in a small pond. Next season we will drown under the current regime if we go up. But fear not, that won't happen. JQ will be gone long before then. I feel really sorry for Roland and the board. He came promising discipline, fitness and cohesion and on the back of a load of UEFA coaching badges. He has delivered none. They, like you and I were suckered in to begin with. Unfortunately, we now all see the truth.

This time last season we were looking relegation in the face, the board stuck by the manager. Now we have reached nearly the same time in the season again, now is the time to make a move, while we are still in a good position to make the play offs and attract a good manager. The board have watched the same ‘stuff’ as the rest of us and must be aware that the teams around us play 100% better football than we do, the we are the big guys is not an excuse to be used anymore. Tonight I felt like I was watching the same side as last year fighting relegation, not promotion, Howie’s confidence has been knocked to pieces by Tinson, who should give the captains arm band to O’Connor, he was the one urging the players on. Street and Sedge although they try are either not good enough or totally lacking in confidence as are most of the others , lacking confidence in there own ability and in that of the manager who is failing them miserably Spot on MS, excellant post.

I feel really sorry for Roland and the board. It will be the last managerial appointment that Roland will make, as he said in the Chronicle last summer.

Quinn played!!?!?! WTF??!! Another very unhappy Townie. Roland was blinded by this UEFA coaching bulls**t last season. I like many others, were sceptical then, nowt has changed IMO. JQ has confused a squad of players with his tactical ineptitude, failed to address serious deficiencies within the squad, only managed to talk a good game, and is on the brink of ****ing up OUR team more than it was before he inherited it. I havent had time to read any other posts - dont really know if I want to revisit the feelings I carried for 4 months of last season.

I also feel for Roland, he's a town fan through and through as he must be just as devistated as us with how things are going.

It will be the last managerial appointment that Roland will make, as he said in the Chronicle last summer. He also sent me a letter saying there would be special offers on games this year and he promised a new ground and is aiming for division one football don't listen to everything you read in the papers!

If you take the results on paper (perhaps not the performances) I don't think Quinn has done anything to warrant getting the sack. Only Chester has lost less games I believe.

I listened on ShrewsWorld last night and we sounded awful, how can anyone play five strikers On paper there is no doubt that we have the best set of players in the Conference and at the beginning of the season everyone seemed to be saying that we would walk this league and we should be. The talent is there we need someone who not only can get them to gel as a team and quickly but someone who can get the players playing to their best ability. Quinn, sorry but it is time to go, we are Football League side and should be in the Football League. At this rate we will be in the Conference for another season, next year there are going to be 18 full time sides in this division. Sadly Quinn is only got one thing right and that is the play-offs is our best chance of promotion. Quinn go and take Street with you

Simon from the outside - it does look strange - but this seasons performances come on the back of decade of going backwards. We've invested loads in a team that consistently lets us down, the football we play is mostly dreadful to watch and the manger seems tactically inept - the fans have had enough. Its not just about this season its about the frsutrations of the last decade or more for some us. When will we ever start to turn the corner and have a team that makes us proud to be town fans? The club have squandered the opportunties provided them at the start of the season and we're now looking into the abyss i.e. long term non league football.Yet noone at the club seems able to do anything about it or even willign to recognise it.

on paper JQ looked brilliant, so how is Roland going to make the "right"choice next time?
It seems to me to be pot luck whether your manager does the business or not.
Our last 2 managers supposedly know more about the game than probably the rest of the Conf put together, but both have and are underachieving with the resources made available to them.
There isn't an answer other than "hoping" that the next one is any better.
