...eh? He's got to get busy in the transfer market cos he needs the players in to allow him to play 4-4-2 (where was Tolley and where was Lowe?)...got to be the last time we see 4-3-3 surely?
We've been found out tonight lads, this is a real wakeup call...it's going to be a tough battle to get ourselves a play-off place nevermid promotion...
I'm sorry to say I'm loosing confidence in Quinn...not good that...

And replace him with whom?
No one forces you to support the club if you don't approve of the management.
Or are you saying you want Ratcliffe back? Are you sure you won't be calling for the new manager's head in less than a year's time if JQ is replaced?
Give him time or don't bother turning up for games.

Time for Quinn to go while there is time for the season to be saved.
1) We're shíte away from home
2) We're shíte in 'big' matches.
It's time for a change.

Supporting the team is one thing. Accepting shíte displays is another. Town have the highest budget in the league and certainly one of the best squads. We're sixth in the leage, can't win away and can't win big games.

When asked why he had 5 strikers on the pitch at once, Jimmy Quinn replied "Because I can".

He's had enough time. We're a worse side than we were in August/September and it's time for a change.

Disagree with that...I just think he needs to get busy within the next couple of days and bring in one or two midfield players who can play left and right midfield...he's got to hope that Sam will be back as soon as possible... I'm guessing that without Tolley and Lowe (injured?) his hand was forced tonight and hence the 4-3-3...which shows how thin the sqaud is...he has to bring in new players... Just hope thats his plans...got to be 4-4-2 on Saturday or I will be amazed!! "Give him time or don't bother turning up for games. " Ahhhh, good one that....thanks...

Anyway. I don't think I can bear all the post-mortems, so I'll see you all in couple of days.
If anyone wants me, I'll be in the airing cupboard...

I'd die for the club, and its so sad watching it go down the pan. We looked good in pre season, and we looked OK during August and September, Performances have steadily got worse since and enough is enough.

I'd much rather watch a solid if unspectacular side with a good home record than a disorganised shambles that is leaking goals left, right and centre - even if it is in a lower division. But you lot are entitled to your opinion...

Yeh, a solid but unspectacular side three divisions lower than where you're currently playing.
See how it feels like

whats going on down at Barnet with regards to the old manager? I heard today that the club expect him to give 2 months notice before he can leave?

Your guess is as good as mine. His departure came completely out of the blue it seems.
Barnet are issuing a High Court injuction and if they have their way he might not be allowed to manage for the rest of the season.

good for Barnet. Mangers shouldn't be able to walk away from contracts as easily as they can do.

Not sure how to say anything about tonight, thought lawrence had an excellent night as for town?? Midfield awol, defence lacking in pace and exposed, banim played but why !! both him and rodgers are 5ft and they take the hoof route. I hope he is busy in the tranfer market because if we continue i cannot see us making the play offs! As for the article in the program about not booing and give the teal a chance i have for the last 8 games my patience has worn thin, town were crap, outplayed outthought outscored. Time to make changes

It's the kind of distraction that doesn't do either club any favours - Brentford's fight against relegation could be in vain whilst a play-off place for us is suddenly looking more precarious with Exeter hitting form...

Hes been bringing in players all season. We are top heavy with strikers (most of whom played tonight), woefully weak of cover at centre half and out wide midfield. Tactically JQ has been poor all season, I dont see it changing in the next couple of days.

Tex our kid, what I'm saying is that I reckon he may have been forced (through injuries and the like) last night to play 4-3-3 cos of the players available...hopefully come Thursday this won't be the case and he will have players within the squad to play 4-4-2 with a new right midfielder and left midfielder in the club.
I'm more than happy with O'Connor and either Tolley or Edwards in the middle of the park in a 4-4-2 formation he's just got to sort out the two wide midfield positons...just my opinion our kid, he needs to get sommat sorted and sorted quick by this Thursday...

You looked one of the better teams to visit Christie this season !. We routed Aldershot and should have scored 6 or 7 no exaggeration,so i thought you would have won comfortably last night. At least you have a chance of being in the play offs this season so all is not lost. We have had many problems this season but when we have the right 11 on the pitch, can match anyone in the league, hopefully we'll strenghthen during the summer. The way we have been gifting points at Christie you can count on three from us on the last day. Good Luck

understand what you're sayin 'our kid'.
last night there may have been circumstances which dictated that some players be out of position. Hes not had that 'luxury' before where the same critisms have been levelled at him.

I really thought 4-3-3 with those player would work but hey what do i know! Perhaps Luke and Jody didnt pull out wide enough to give us that extra width, a sort of attacking 4-5-1.
I think our main problem is the midfield and has been for seasons now, we are currently lacking the up and down midfielder that Tolley was turning out to be, but getting rid of Quinn is not the answer. If we are playing like this by Christmas next year then I'll be calling for him to go but 40 odd games is too soon, especially for what is practically a new squad.
Someone also mention in another thread that Atkins was superior to O Connor hahahahahaha, honestly, even though it sounds as if he had a poor game last night hes been our best player over the last month. I dont think Mark Atkins was ever our best player in a game let alone a month! (apologies to all members of MAAS but I thought he was poor)
To be honest, as one of the optimists on this board my confidence in the management has been severely dented by last night. It sounds as if our defence could not seem to cope with one of the bester attacks in the conference and our forward line was left wanting against one of the poorer defences.

tolley and lowe were both injured last night.
unfortunately doesn't look like edwards is going to play again this season and I don't know how bad tolley's injury is and also o'conner came off injured. so that leaves us possibly without 3 central midfielders and sam and lowe against hereford!

Eh? I'm a Barnet fan. Which team do you think I supported? That may explain a lot. You may be happy with challenging in the Conference for a playoff spot - STFC fans are not.

To be fair ant, if we were challenging for a play off place I would be happy, but we aint. We aint challenging anything, our players dont have the bottle to challenge and our manager and his boys dont know what it is. Watching this lot play is like wiping your a**e with wet toilet paper.
