Right, as well as being my 1000th post, this poll is to determine who will be B&A's officially 'adopted' second team.
The poll closes on Thursday afternoon at 4pm so get your votes in then the fun can begin!

Doh i voted Stenhousemuir, but now i wish i hadn't, have you seen the ground [glow=red,2,300]YUK[/glow] There is a quote from someone who went to the ground it sounds a little like the warnings you get when going on a water ride at an amusement park, " be prepared to get very wet" On the good side it will be winter and probably pi$$ing down when/if we go I wish Hamilton academicals were in the running And the chance of anyone going to any of the foreign clubs chosen? 0% www.footballgroundguide.co.uk/Click on- other grounds -Scottish-Stenhousemuir

Was there an eliminator poll or summat? I remember FC Utrecht proving a very popular option on the original thread. I was going to vote for them...

Gaz i have a slight problem with this - i cant belive that Stenhousemuir is getting that many leagal votes??? would it not have been better for the members to post there desision underneath so that any new members that appear (like the sudden new one today) can be removed and the official members who might have something to do with this should a tour be organinsed not be be better representd (FYI ther have been about 5-7 new members today, seems a bit strange!!!) Sorry to be a pain - but looking at the old thread Seleto was the most populare now all of a sudden we are expected to belive that a lot of people have changes ther mind Sorry to be a pain but its something you should look into Either way - im for where ever but feel that a scottich team is a missed oppertunity - i will leav my vote till later

Hmmm, we'll see how it pans out (Can someone keep a check of new members?) but if not, we'll have to go for a vote like the other one below.
Chris H - there was an eliminator that ran for a couple of days.
No votes for Utrecht - PetetheLoon wasn't here whipping support up for his option.

I forgot to suggest the Stuttgarter Kickers didn't I? About the same crowds (3,060 at the Kickers on Saturday), about the same level (Kickers in Regionalliga Sud), Kickers nicknamed 'Die Blaue', would certainly say Stuttgart would be to the taste of most Town fans (very nice here you see), decent flight price from Birmingham...
I can certainly see why I picked them as me team over here!!
...but saying that, the Kickers fans are (in the whole) pretty placid and the Waldau doesn't generate the best of atmospheres...nice place to watch your football, mind...and the Kickers do have the best home record in the liga (Fortress Waldau!!) but I'm not too sure it would be what you lads would be looking for to be honest...
So I'll vote for FC Seolto!! Although I know nothing whatsoever about them...but if it's someplace hot it's got to be the winner...who wants to freeze their nuts off in Scotland?!

A Party Political Broadcast on behalf of the Seolto Party Come on people, vote Dutch, you know it makes sense. 1/ Seolto already have links with STFC having being over here a couple of times. 2/ Their colours are orange and blue. 3/ Their first team squad have actually played a game against ASFC on their last visit. 4/ They like a good social and turned the Telepost into a real carnival atmosphere last time here. 5/ Ditto the Riverside with their none stop singing. Where in Holland is Seolto? What sort of club is it, do they have payng spectators?
I was thinking that Holland is so esy to get to there could be a trip there regardless of the outcome of the vote.

Not that far from Rotterdam in a place called Zevenbergen
They have a little stand and from pictures, looks as if they have a few supporters but I'm sure a B&A trip could double the crowd!

It'd be quality to do an actual B&A trip abroad. If there were a fair few of us we could surely get a discount on travel and accomodation etc....

Seolto are an amateur team. When they were over nearly 3 years ago they won their league that year. If I remember it correctly it was the Dutch 5th Divison they won. But only the top 2 leagues in Holland are professional. Their standard at the time was likened to the Conference feeder leagues i.e. Beazer Homes etc. Not sure how they have fared the last couple of years to be honest. Their players were far too good for ASFC, though we did have Steve Biggins and Tony Henry guesting for us first half. As you can imagine, that was a great honour for us to play along side such greats. We ended up losing 10-1 (only 0-3 half-time!) with Dave Heaton getting our sole consolation goal in the second half. But the celebration frenzy that followed the goal left our opponents well bemused, with subs running on the pitch and cartwheels being performed. If Seolto does win the vote I will contact their chairman to advise him what we are doing and suggest we are looking at a visit over there, possibly next season. I'm sure they would be able to sort us a good deal on accomodation and generally look after us for the duration of our visit. SEOLTO SEOLTO SEOLTO SEOLTO
