What about Hoegaarden - Not strictly a lager as such but lovely all the same, if bloody expensive

"Czech Budweiser Budvar is an all malt beer with an O.G of 12 and a delicate hop character 19 - 24 units of bitterness. It is largered for 90 days.
American Budweiser is lower in alcohol, O.G. 11.25, and far lighter in body and flavour. It is not an all malt beer, it contains 30% rice and has a gentler hop character (10 - 15 units of bitterness). It is largered for 21 days" - Michael Jacksons Beer Companion.
In other words American Bud is a flavourless, characterless rice-water that is rushed from the factory to the retailer and should not be confused with a real classic beer.

I shall recommend Bombay Pilsner, a new indian beer which is very good. Although, it should probably be called Mumbai Pilsner now!!
Also (not sure if this is stil the case) Wrexham Lager and XXXX were one and the same!!
