I see that Andy Tretton has been mentioned as a possible new signing in the summer. Has anyone heard any rumours or have you opinion on where we need to strengthen before the new campaign?

Hes signed a new 1 year deal with Hereford, however this may just be a ploy by Hereford to get a fee.

Certainly a right sided player. I'm not happy with Sedge as cover for Moss and we do need another right winger - if we're very lucky we could get a player to cover both positions.

Ricketts and Whitehead. McNiven wont be one, if he gets a new striker he'll get a league experienced one I reckon

Agree we need Whithead + Ricketts But do we really need another striker i think Cramb will be on his way out, that still leaves us with Darby,Rodgers, Banim, Unless luke goes on to bigger and better things

Ant, I disagree with your point that Sedge is not proper cover for Mossy. Sedge isn't Mossy but if has played well in the position. We need another centre-half in case Tinno or Rids get injured.
And Colin Cramb must stay! Benefits to be viewed by all of us next season"

sedge is good enough to cover at right back and if needed plays well at centre half, if pushed, challis as he showed yesterday can play well at centre half...
i reckon we need; 1 centre half, 1 right winger (a must) and we need to try and get lawerence on a season loan.

I agree that we need a centre-half and that we should keep Lawrence for another season as I think he's class!
I would like to sign James Coppinger from Exeter. He's class!
But I think the best signing we can make is keeping CC for the upcoming season cos he will come in handy! (sorry to go on about it!)

Somebody sitting in front of me yesterday said we'd signed or got someone from Rochdale lined up. Don't know who or what position. I agree that Cramb might be a better player at league level. We do need a right sided player, a defensive midfielder to cover for and/or replace O'Connor depending on whether he takes up his option of a further year. Would also like to see Lawrence return on a season loan, not sure if Fergie would allow it though. Sedge's best position for me is centre half, another right back would be good as we know Mossy is susceptible to the odd booking!!! I'd also like to see a 6ft 2" + center half to help us deal with the crossed ball as we have conceded far to many goals from corners and free kicks. Come on you blues, onwards and upwards I think Jimmy knows what he wants and i hope he gets in the right people

I think we need to concentrate on midfield. There has been a lack of defence splitting balls, the kind of thing luke would thrive on. At the mo it seems to me lukey has to set up too many of his own chances.

Stuart Whitehead is supposedly on the way now that we are back in the League.
I have that on the authority of a telford fan who is usually right with news from that part of the world.
Was supposedly just waiting till yesterdays result to decide for definate.

on the list should be:
1 centre half for cover/grooming to replace tinno. pick up a bright young thing for the the next season too.
1 right back, sedge may struggle next season
1 centre mid 1 right winger
I personally think Luke will be off in the summer, so possibly a replacement there too.

Colin Cramb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im about to BURST OUT at all you people for Colin Cramb. He has to wait for the ball to be at his feet before he will do anything with it!!!! HE JUST WONT RUN
But i still agree with Barthez2104, he might be better in a League.
(the only reason i stopped arguing is because your all older than me, and faginy supports CRAMB the most and i wouldn't want to pick a fight with him!!!)

As I mentioned before, an outsider completely, Follett from Tamworth. (ex-teacher bias allowed! ) He hasn't signed for them yet, won an award at their awards night, and can cover a number of midfield and defensive positions. He's cheap, doing his degree at the mo (possibly about to finish), and in the British Universities team. Seems to be well though off on their message board throughout the season. For those that need reminding - he's the nippy one that riled Rioch and O'Conner successfully, and hit that belter at Tamworth. For those that say why hasn't he made it so far.....was on Forests books from 13, signed as a trainee, then got an injury. Very quickly got snapped up from Racing Club Warwick I think, once he started playing again. Good midfield, wing, and full back cover - genuinely does play anywhere, and can tackle well. Also got at least 10+ years in him still.

Yep Picken, 3 years ago Stu Roberts was the best right in the 3rd division.
Not sure on his history since then.
In terms of signings, I'd go totally with TexMex apart from the centre midfield area where I think we're ok for next year.
If O'Connor stays, I'm happy with him, Street, Edwards and Tolley.

Ricketts definitely, but I reckon Coppinger has an attitude problem. It would be great to get Lee lawrence too.

Young Shrew, I suggest you cast your mind back to extra time on sunday. Jamie Tolley has just volley a ball 60/70 yards down the right flank. Colin Cramb knows there is no chance he'll keep the ball in play, yet still frigging bombs his way down the flank, sliding to to stop the abll going out for a goal kick and instead forces a throw for Aldershot in the corner. The ball wasnt to his feet, no one made him run. yet he did. No one can say he hasnt tried to do his bit. ye he acts like a fool etc.... but that doesnt mean he doesnt try...

Or check his bit of interplay with Luke that would probably led to our winner had the linesman not got it wrong.
Or his interview after the game.
Cramb must stay.
Would a Cramb/Darby partnership work in Division 3 I ask...........

pricey i haven't reprimanded you yet for foolishly calling Cramby "our most hated player" on confguide - he is your most hated player yes - but not ours

yeah i love they way were all talking about that offside from Cramb in the game vital that was, much more vital than Darbys Goal - been very little praise for what was a massive moment in the game Youngshrewster - dont let them bully tou Cramb does not run - well he does when on as a sub - i saw him go flying past a Aldershot player in the second half of extra time - it was not untill i remembered that that player had been playing in the engery sapping sun for almost 2 hours i remembered why cramb looked so good. And no Cramb Darby will not work for the simple reason that Cramb anybody will not work!!!! And he is (now gregors gone) our most hated player apart from a small minority - and if hated is the wrong world - lets say most disliked!!!! We simiply cannot carry him next year - so lets cut losses and get in a player with Luke/DD/Lowe style hunger for the club - player who will be revered by fans not treated with contempt

Whilst I understand your love of Darby, I genuinely can't fathom out why you hate Cramb so much, and refuse to accept that he has done anything positive for STFC Pricey?
Small Minority? A lot of the people I speak to at football games like Cramb - albeit believe that he needs to cut out the tantrums - and see him as an asset to the club.
