Very dissapointed with block 31, no singing apart from 1 or 2, what happened? I thought the reason for getting block 31 sorted was to make sure of a good atmosphere? Oh well, at least we won

Its a bit of a problem trying to generate an atmosphere when the middle aged fella behind me kept telling me to sit down! Bl**dy all seater stadiums. Why buy a ticket for Block 31 if you want to sit down and enjoy a nice day in the sunshine?! In theory the plan for Block 31 should have worked well. In practice I was a bit disappointed. Fair play to the Shots fans though. I thought they generated a heck of a noise (how did they get the drum in?) Anyway, I'm sure the proper atmosphere will be generated on the road next year when the regulars get together. Division 3 here we come!!

If there was no drum, you wouldn't of been able to hear the ALDERSHOT ATMOSHPERE

There was enough noise made round us in 31-11 to have Mitchell curled up holding his ears to try and make it quieter! He's used to The Riverside shouts too!

My Block 31 Theory Rows - 1 - 10 Full of singers who were standing and getting stuff goging - mention to Rob, CarterShrew TS, Gallon, Jamo2, Harmerhill, Jeeevesy and Norge and Giles. Rows 10-18 Full of day tripers mostly very little going of there - rows 18 - 25 odd full of singers, my lot, Edgie and Matt Wynies Lot, Murrey and his lot and others, then again anotehr quite gap back toa the rowdies at the back. Spoilt be the day tripers who got tickets in that block who are not part of B and A or the wider town community. The row in front of me was empty before the Trophy was presented - yes i had a go at them. Nerves played a big part also

I trust you missed a as you included the Thomases in your day tripper, not part of the B and A, or wider town community statement. There's a few here who will tell you that I shouted a fair bit from row 11, and am suffering for it now. Even Mitchell was screaming at the end. And yes nerves will silence even the loudest singers at times.

I saw at least 10 people in Block 31 some of whom have NEVER been to see Shrewsbury Town. I know how they got there tickets and now is not the time to discuss this. Let us just hope it rubs off on some of them and they come again. I am just glad I was in an asile seat Because I was on my feet in the asile half the time. Sorry to Mr and Mrs Trewbloo but I did warn you before KO

Thought it worked well - thought our singing was fantastic at times - especially in extra time, and we didn't have the advantage of a drum.
The B&A block was a superb idea as it meant that I was able to celebrate with so many of my friends off here.
Well done to all concerned.

I admit to letting the side down, i was just so racked with tension and anxiety i wasn't up to the task.I guess there may well have been a few more like me on the day. I promise to do better at next years Div 3 play off final

You're right Pricey I shouted myself hoarse in the first half.
Was all spent for extra time.....
There were a few people behind us who kept tugging at my shirt when I stood to sing, they eventually gave up tho ;D
Brilliant day, fairplay to blueshrew who seemed to get more lively and loud as the match progressed!!!

Well I have a very sore throat this morning though my singing did falter as the nerves and the heat stroke (v. ill last night and still not good) set in
A little frutrated at the guy behind me who kept saying through the entire game things like 'c'mon goalie move for the ball' even though Nick and myself were emphasising 'Scott Howie'

i agree with kickin that the support during the game was fairly mediocure from the town fans whilst aldershots was supurb.
think this was down to a couple of reasons
1) nerves, we had it all to loose 2) despite block 31 all the singers were dispersed all over the two sides ( i had a couple of crewe fans sitting next to me that are involved with quinns sunday league side) 3)all aldershots singers would have got tickets for behind the goal and were therefore all together.

I was in 31 and sang so much that I can't speak today. But there were others who didn't. I think nerves might have been a factor. And if anyone behind me had told me to sit down and be quiet when I stood up to sing they would have got something far more than just my views on all seater stadia.......... Not that I'm advocating any kind of threatening behaviour or violent conduct at football matches of course....

There was a bit of noise coming from the back of 31 to. I lost my voice for a bit in the second half. Great day.

The people standing up was one of the reasons I didn't get Block 31. It is a nuisance sometimes, esp to my Dad, and when he starts moaning he doesn't stop ;D
I think the singers being dispersed was a problem, but Town fans are going to have to get used to all seater stadiums - it's no good campaigning for them and then moaning about what you get

The block 31 idea was great.....well done Ant.
I was in row 5 and my crew certainly sang there lot away!!
problem was the da da da da da da (don't know the words) brigade who had dusted down their old flags and shirts(now to be know as retro's) who muscled in on the best seats in the house.
There was certainly a right miserable ******* in row 6 near us who kept trying to get everyone to sit down(fat chance)
Cracking day.....brill evening at the crown.......no voice today.
Nice shirt VodkaVic....

Alot of the singing i heard started from just behind me (about row 32 i guess) Did my best to keep singing through the tension but didnt here much around me for most parts. PorkyShrew could barely watch never mind sing, which i found highly amusing!! There was someone a few rows in front of me probably about row 20ish seat 625ish who seemed to be standing up and singing all game Anybody on here?

Block 29 was pretty much part-time songwise, but we certainly followed the lead of the left and the right. Think I spent half the match standing up ("If you love Shrewsbury..."), the rest either singing, shouting or almost falling forward 3 rows every time we got a chance on. Somewhere along the line I found time to slip in a few sneaky ciggies too, which is why my throat has been suffering today! Almost fainted at the end of ET due to no drinks since leaving the minibus, but Adrenaline kicked in for the penos, and kept me dancing until it was time to leave!
You made a good lot of noise "over there", 31+, 27 down and the family stand seemed to fill the whole ground!
