As I'm sure alot of you are aware by now the challenge has been laid down and agreed to for a game with a Buckschat U20s side. Lee has already managed to get about 12 players together, which is a great effort from them considering I only suggested it to Lee yesterday, so a big thanks first off to him for sorting that out.
Next issue is a date for the fixture, and of course travel for the team.
The fixture is hopefully going to be at TCAT (easy for everyone to find as its right by the New Bucks Head) on a spare Saturday in May. If anyone would like to suggest a specific date then please reply to this with your suggestion...I thought maybe Saturday 8th, the Saturday after the B&A vs Mighty Shrews game?
Also if anyone thinks they would have trouble getting to TCAT for the game (whenever its played) again please reply and we will see if anything can be sorted.
Cheers,
Pete

I look forward to meeting you all And Pete, it's not strictly a buckschat XI!

I know there are a few outsiders, but the majority are Buckschat so it just seemed easier...Telford Fans FC sound better?

Yeah. To be fair we'd struggle to get 11 players from Buckschat full stop, let alone u20's

What on the day of the Playoff Final? O.k Or has it been changed? I'd personally prefer a later date as it'd give us chance for a get together or two!

8th is fine for me.
Only problem is whether there will be posts left up at TCAT? The posts at SCAT are taken down for the summer on the 5th May.

I think the TCAT pitches are affiliated with Bennets Bank, and I THINK they leave them up for summer football schools etc, as I seem to remember going to one a few years back!

I could always suggest the Humbers playing fields near MOD Donnington. Decent enough nets, decent sized pitches, and free! Although no changing facilities so it may not be the best idea.

What about Wrekin College, as they have a rather flash all-weather pitch in case of bad weather. And they rent it out also, however, dunno how much they charge.
What about one of the Bank Holidays in May as a possible date?

Wrekin College was mentioned, I just think TCAT is the preferred choice as everyone knows who it is, and hopefully me and Joey can pull a few strings and book sumat on the cheap

as long as you play it in the afternoon I'm fine and up for it.
Mornings (in fact before 1) however are a no-go for me.

Is that the one by Celestica in Priorslee? It's only 5 minutes from my house, but when I went there the other day the goals had been taken down

I should be able to play any Saturday. Would prefer to play in Telford though, one team from Shrewsbury needs to win there this season.

yo. this whole thing needs to get arranged and booked for as soon as possible really. about 4/5 members of the Telford 11 will be going back to university by the end of this week so it'd be great if we could play it before then. is there any chance at all of doing that? maybe this coming Sunday? May half term is a possibility but again not so for the uni lads and they find themselves with thousands of exams and so-forth.
