Sureley the most overated player in the Conference ? For all the talk of him worth millions he has come down to a semi amateur leauge but still wouldnt make it into a Conference top 11? Compare him to McNiven or the lad from Barnet hes not simply not as as good , and as to a player of Daryl Clare's standard Seems to me as you have gone down the leauge he has failed to raise his game and now, at best, would probably leave you to join a mediocre third division side for less than 20 k. Worth millions, dont make me laugh, Just my view. Good look for the play offs.

ERRR....he has made it into the conferance top 11 thats why hes first choice striker for England.
I would rather have Luke in my side than any other striker from division 1 downwards.

I agree to a certain extent - he's had a poor season by his own standards and I doubt we'd get much more than £150k for him if we sold him now.
That said, I wouldn't swap him for any other striker in the conference.

Rather than Daryl Clare even ?. BTW I thought Micheal Owen was 1st choice for England... What sort of an Engalnd 11 is it, it changes every game lol Pub Leauge.... " Id rather have Luke than any other striker from div 1 down" on his day hes not bad, but im sorry that statement just makes you look stupid. Luke is not even the best striker in the Conference.

Im sorry, anyone that spells league "Leauge" obviously knows FA about football, so you can hardly comment on Luke Rodgers.

who loves Owen? not me. Just pointed out he IS first choice striker for england ? So that makes me a Chester fan does it ?, even though he never played for them? As to Darl Clare he is golden boot winner, again, and has not only played for Chester you know. Hardly Inspector Clueso are we ? by the way do you agree or not you play in a semi amateur leauge where a lot of the player are working in the week, you must be so proud ! Chester my arse, Shrewsbury

That said I wouldn't swap him for any other striker in the Conference.
He's going to be a very important player our club in the playoffs.

There are a couple of strikers I would rather have instead of Rodgers without a doubt. He was an awesome player last season and the season before, but on the whole this season has been a let down. I think he would be the first to admit that.

Sorry didnt mean to offend by calling this a pub leauge, how about SEMI AMATEUR FULL OF PART TIME FOOTBALLING NO MARKS or would you disagree with semi amateur ? There are hardly ANY part-time sides left in the Conference, although the number will be rising next season with promotions and Telford. ;D We wouldn't pay a full-time player's wage to someone we regarded as amateur.

Players get better with better players around them
Look at Lee Steele at Oxford last year.
I think the service our strikers have been getting isn't of the highest quality, but I admit, he hasn't really performed this year.
Let's hope he can raise his game in Division 3, when there's mor of a challenge for him.

And also a ! If you knew anything about football then you would no that Rodgers is Englsnds first choice striker. He is still a class player and could easily play in division one. I think one day he will play in the premiership aswell.

England no 1? , or number one in a pub league which no one outside of the mighty Conference cares about ?
Dont get me wrong on his day hes good, but he ISNT even the best striker in the Conference and to suggest that 1st Division teams will be beating a path to you door to sign a player strugling for form in a side thats over 20 points of fHereford in 2nd is a joke.
Man U of the Conference, you lot certainly think so ...wake up and smell the coffee ...

STFC have turned down several bids from first division clubs for Lukey boy, so your theory goes out the window a little bit doesn't it?
Having watched Luke develope over the last few years, there is not a single striker in the conference or leagues up to first division i would swap him for, with the right service he can score goals for fun, but the best thing about Luke is his work rate, i have never seen a striker down the meadow that works as hard as Luke does.

So is 'just me' a Walsall fan (going down) or a Wrexham fan (going bust)
My bet is that it's 442 Sadler or whatever his name was, that lad had an unhealthy obsession with Mr Rodgers too...

lol
Lukes done s**te in the conference so what?
he's scored more than enough goals in higher divisions and against better teams to have proved himself.
As for Claire, what was his goalscoring rate in the football league for Boston, Grimsby etc...? Not very good.
You dont have to appreciate Sir Luke, the only thing that matters is what the STFC supporters think of him (we love him), what the club think of him (They still rate him highly) and what professionals withing the game think (there've been a few offers put in for him by div1 teams).
Nuff said.

All in the past my friend, he will be gone this year back to the proper league. Clare's record, when not injured is s**t hot in the 3rd btw. Also the lad from Barnet is better than LR.
Lukes had his day, lost interest and will be off. Mayby to open up a fireworks shop, after all he loves them doesnt he. childish bully that he is. Should have been sent down the yobbo...

Lets put it this way "Just me" I am willing to bet you would give anything to be Luke Rodgers..........
Luke Rodgers has a job 99% of men dream of, A car 99% of men dream of, and a damn sight more prospects than you can dream of....
Plus he doesn't live in Walsall
So get back to your council Estate and wait until giro day so you have some money to find something else to dao with your time.

Luke made a mistake..........We all do it, He's served his punishment...So whats the problem
Have you got any right to judge Luke when you have probably never spoke to him
Luke may have made mistakes but all his mistake could never equal the mistake ur dad made when it would have only cost him £2 not to make it
