Oh dear. So, season ticket holders not guaranteed to see the game unless they turn up hours before kick-off. This is going to be an interesting thread

I was an owner of a season ticket, but sold it a couple of months ago because I was broke. This is good news for me, but surely season ticket holders should get priority?

Imagine the scene at 2:55. People who have been on the beer all afternoon pile out of the pub and wander off to the ground. 'I'm sorry lads, we're full up'. I think I could see a problem developing!
To be fair to the club though, they called the Telford games correctly and both went off without any trouble. I would have thought that this game would have stood a decent chance of being a sell out though?

I think a fair few people on here may exaggerate numbers on occasion but this is defo going to be a sell-out, no danger!!
This should defo be made all ticket...they have time in which to sort out postal applications for tickets and they have 9 nine days (including two saturdays) to sell tickets at the ground. We know we are at home, the game is set for that day...lets get it all ticket and get things sorted. I anticipated issues with the away leg due the number of tickets to be made available but I thought the home semi would be sorted. I can't understand this decision...I certainly think there will be people locked out of the ground come a week Monday...
In the past we have always made such games all ticket haven't we? Why not this time?

I'm sorry but STFC have got it wrong on this one , there ticket arrangements have been working fine then they go and drop a massive bombshell like this. This is going to be the biggest game of the season, as big as the Chelsea game last season, there bringing trouble on themselves with this one For example Bank Holiday, neutral footballing folk and casual fans from surrounding clubs might realise this is going to be a good game therefore they head down to GM in plenty of time and enter the turnstile to watch as a neutral. Mr/Mrs Exile and local regular supporters of the Town that sings shouts and encourages the team get locked out because they can't make it as early or get held up in traffic etc.

Its not just season ticket holders, although I feel for them. What about exiles?
I could travel up, get stuck behind caravan after caravan, (likely on a Bank Holiday Monday,) make a 6 hour journey, only to find that Im locked out.

I'll be leaving a bit earlier now!!!
will simply have to make sure I'm in the ground well before 2!!
poor decision really given that Town have already had nearly a whole week when they could have been selling tickets
(let's face it, none of us really care who we'll be playing do we so would have happly bought tickets from last monday?!!)

If Exeter can pull in over 8 thousand, there's a fair chance we wil sell out

Unless they are thinking of giving us part of the station end......
Cant understand the thinking over this one. Altho I'll say this they really must be braindead (and I'd say that to their faces) if this is all their going to do.
We go through a season averaging over 4,000 or something, then comes a huge game on a bank holiday monday when little else is going on and they think that only an extra 1000 or so Town fans/neutrals will turn up?!
what a bunch of pricks they are. I can cope with being ripped off and being asked to pay over the top prices to watch STFC, I can even cope with s**te football. However what I cant cope with is owning a frigging priority card and still possibly missing out on two of the biggest games this season and possibly in the history of the club!!!
Talk about pathetic, What have the Umbrella group said to the club about this? They must have said something in the eventuality we ended up in the play-offs.
The club just never learns.........

Steady on Rob, lets get the first leg out the way first and see how the tie is balanced, then i'm sure the situation will be reviewed as regarding the game changed to be all ticket or the possibility of additional areas to be provided. Lets remember its a sunday today and these things will be disscussed within office hours within the club. Its no good bombarding questions at whitters when he has no say and can only provide information when its only been made available to him .

I agree that the situation needs to be looked at, but surely the club can't make it all ticket after viewing the ituation after Thursday. That would give people Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning to get tickets as a decision wouldn't be made untill friday...

A lot of people are going to be dissapointed Rob, it's not the clubs fault. And the timescale doesn't help either.

I was refering to the decision makers not the mere messenger boys.
If they dont listen to the umbrlla group, then whats the point???
I mean the supporters have already been snubbed over the "end of season awards"
whats the point of supporting a s**tey club (thats what STFC are) when we experience more crap than good, only for the good times to come around and for you to feel like you've been done over.

Whos been done over? Season ticket holder get priorty, then other groups (super blues etc.) then priority cards. You new this was the case when purchasing a priority card. The club are not at fault for the amount of tickets we get, when we get them etc.
I'm dissapointed, but that is my fualt 'cus i didn't get a priority card.
