It's three years since I first met up with a few of the posters at the ISC open day football tournament. You'd been about for a while by then Murray posting articles and wasn't that the year you ran a campaign to get writer of the year? I remember that tournament, it was a good laugh - I think there were 4 STFC supporters teams in the comp that day. Two from the ASFC, one of blue and amber and one from the mailing list. Please to say it was the blue and amber one that faired best ;D

i got really bad sunburn that day...... It was a warm day. Last year the ASFC played 7 a side tournaments at Orient at Queens Park. It was over 30oC for the Oreint tournament and I was glowing pink for a couple of days after that but what was more suprising was geting burnt at the Queen's park tournament!

Blue-and-Amber.co.uk was set up on November 16th 1999 - the same day Kev Ratcliffe was announced Town boss. Ty Marshall and Tim Spencer set it up but Tim quickly lost interest and I started helping Ty with the site in December 1999. We used to link to Schizo's Messageboard back then - I can't remember what type it was - a boardhost maybe? but I remember it being like a primative confguide type board all in thread layout and I too remember Dale's famous 'invade the Chester board' too lol - I have a feeling Schizo still isn't flavour of the month in Chester City internet land today The messageboard moved to be part of blue-and-ambe.co.uk when b&a joined the rivals network and has been under the b&a banner since. Members come and go. Many stay but don't post as much as they used to.

There was me, Whitters, Dave Hartley and Gerry as well as I recall.
Good day - bloody baking though!

I can rememeber the board just before it went to Rivals.
Another poster I can remember from the very early days with rivals was "Paul, Ironbridge". So pre-registration I became Sean,Broseley and then Sean_Broseley and then SeanBroseley on this board.

Think its about a year owing to the Relegation battle, i wont mince my words and intend to be fair but critical of the club untill the day we get back to the 3rd division, never put up with second best because your forced to. there are too many good people out there that deserve the winners laurels.I will continue to egg-on the team and those people in charge. If you use a carrot and stick sometimes you have to use a stick believe me i am not happy of having to do it that way,The people that really know me know that as a fact..I await our promotion at all times and will celebrate the same when it arrives

Before Whits started the first unofficial website, there was a maillist for lower division teams - I posted as Cuyahoga Blue.
Whits started the first maillist dedicated to Shrewsbury and gave the club a web presence. One of the first "meetings" I can remember was vs Plymouth in March 97.
Ian was hired by the club, unofficial became official, B&A started and I remained "CuyahogaBlue" - It must be 10 years now.

I am probably at the peak of my posting days on here- I have only really contributed anything this season but as SeanBroseley reminds me in his earlier post, I must have posted the odd thread or two a couple of years ago as Paul,Ironbridge. Not sure quite why he remembers me- must be that old north v south of the river rivalry?

I've been on ever since it set up, and on the email list andmessage boards since about 1998/9? Who could forget Schizo's call to arms to 'invade the Chester City Messageboard' in 2000! First went online a month before the creation of B&A so it was all good timing for me I probably dont 'tie' myself with the B&A 'clique' too much but I'm glad to have played my part for the site, also I think I'm still the World Wide Web's equivalent to Hitler in Chester some imposter was posting under my name on Deva Chat a couple of months ago and they very easily remembered me I've registered my name on there to stop anyone doing it now though. Also I thought I rallied the troops to Chester very well, thought it was the most spectacular invasion since Pearl Harbor myself ;D

Being king of Posting knowledge i would estimate there to be 250 - 300 active posters a week with only mabey 50-70 out of that number being duplicates. The rest would be occasional visiitors, Lurkers and fans of other teams
