Theres a lot of water to go under the bridge and a lot of football to be played before next Thursday. IF Town win the next two games it will spike the guns of all those going for Quinns head. Mind you after last nights shambles I am begining to wonder if we will win again this season. Whatever happens the 15th of April is a must attend event.

No fault of the OSC but this meeting is too late as we have already made our minds up about him.
What it will show again is what was evident in September and October - there's a massive gap between what he says and what his team does.

Hmmm i'm not sure i want to attend this meeting on Thurs now, there's too much anti Quinn feeling around atm, actually i don't think it would matter if it were Sir Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger in charge, they would still be asking for him to be sacked, some people just cannot be placated.
I must confess that if i were JQ i wouldn't have offered to have this meeting untill the end of the season .... but perhaps JQ doesn't read this message board or get any reports from any STFC staff that do (a bit unlikely)
I want to go and hear positive talk from the manager and not be made to feel uncomfortable by people shouting things like "Quinn out" and "Quinn your useless go now" is this what the meeting will be like?

"actually i don't think it would matter if it were Sir Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger in charge, they would still be asking for him to be sacked, some people just cannot be placated."
When you say some people, I take it you mean 75% of the fans? If you think Quinn is doing a good job then you are in an overwhelming minority. Judging by recent polls carried out on here that sort of figure is quite accurate.
We have endured tedious crap football all season. We are not 5th because we have played well, we are 5th because there are so many awful awful teams in the Conference (ourselves included). Quinn has had more cash to spend than all other teams apart from maybe Chester, and we have a decent sized squad compared to everyone else.
He still doesn't know his best front 2, and plays people out of position all the time. His tactics change in the blink of an eye, and it's getting to a lot of people now.

get yourself down there Doobie, every body's opinion matters, if you feel different to the majority of fan's that will be there, what the hell, your views are as relevant as anyone else's. To get a true reflection of fans opinions we need people there who are both pro and anti Quinn I'm sure whatever the evening holds it will remain dignified and relevant.

What happened to the man employed by the club pre-season?.Should of been a stong leader in the Club ,but as the weeks passed he seemed to change more directions than a weathervane. He has had every advantage Money ,pick of players,The club on secure money grounds and fantastic support, that as the seaons have passed by have been treated as dirt on the shoe by the board,we give and give again only to receive little in return by a side too eager to jump in their sportscars and P*ss off home,To explain the lack of passion by the Board and the Club is easy..To them its just a job and not a passion ,like it is to the fans

I would strongly urge anyone pro Quinn to go to the meeting and put your point accross, it is as valid as anyone else, even if it is not the most common it still needs to be aired. I know two things for sure,
1) Some people who say stuff on here won't have the bottle to say it to JQ's face
2) Some people who don't post on here but read it or are involved in different supporters groups are still very supportive of JQ and will certainly stand up for him in front of other people and won't take any grief from anyone
so put it together and you have the potential for a fairly feisty meeting but I would urge everyone who has an opinion on the matter to go and share it and I would hope that different opinions would be respected

That is the biggest challenge, at the one they did with Banim and Tinson the meeting was dominated by one grumpy bloke at the front who just had a go at Jimmy Quinn and everyone else just went quiet
I hope that doesn't happen again

Will the results of the last two games effect this meeting now - My Questions will remain the same but will some people be nervous about asking the tough questions now we are in a good position again?

Tell me you are noting going to this thing with a load of well done Jimmy comments - what about the crap football for the whole season apart from this month, what about the humiliation almost every week away from home, what about all the stories from "behind the scenes" you tell me so much about. I tell you if its a con and its all positves and congratulations there will be 4 people i know walking out!!!!! As for the target being the playoffs - i thought the target was promotion and i see no gaurntees that that has been achived yet!!!! See you there mate - its going to be fun!!!!

i think you're going with the wrong attitude not every manager would agree to meet the fans with all thats been going on recently, fair play to JQ i say if people start shouting abuse, or shouting rumours out etc etc, it will descend into chaos i have some questions for him, but I would like to think I have written them in such a style that they won't patronise the guy - remember he knows a lot more about the game, and about working at GM than any of us will ever know

You dare to Question my attitude I will not shout anything out dont worry and i will submit my questions along with everyone else in a good manner all im saying is if we are nearing the end and nothing constructive has been said apart from back slapping then it will a shame!!!! Any way you should know by know Chaos is my middle name!!!!!

Yes, it is honourable of him to meet the fans, but just how much was it his idea, and how much was pressure applied by the board to try and keep the fans on board, am I synical, or just not stupid. 2) Nobody wants chaos, they just want answers, and its as much about how honest he is going to be as it is about the attitude fans go with. 3) Ive a lot of questions and if I can get out of work I will go, I dont however mince my words, they come from the heart and I want him to know that what we have been served up for the majority of the season is nothing less than cr%p. 4) you could have fooled me and I suspect the majority of other town fans to. My advice is go along, and say it as it is. It wont hurt him to sit and listen to the fans cos without us, they are nothing. And we aint soddin happy. Applaude if you like the fact that we may well get a play off place in the conference, but I still aint happy. Im somewhere in between ashamed, humiliated and disallusioned that we sit here patting ourselves on the back for this "great achievement".

Pab that is why JQ is doing this to give people answers, now not many people may like his answers but at least you get a chance to listen to what the man has to say. Also are you implying that JQ isn't going to be honest? I expect him to be diplomatic, and supportive towards his players, who on the whole have tried to give 100% each and every game, even if some look as if they don't care on occasions i'm sure it's not just a job to them. And as for being "ashamed" that i support the Town i have to say NeverHumiliated, only once this season and that was at Dagenham...5-0 'nuff said Have to agree with you on the disallusioned bit, after some nervy performances this season and some downright poor ones as well, (Telford away in the league springs to mind) But as ever after Sat, and to some extent last night, i'm smiling again, and with the play-offs to look forward to (still got fingers x'd) we'll save the back patting untill we get through to the play-off final.

Your right Doobie/faginey, heated moment.
Just to put the record straight though, I didnt say I was ashamed, just that I felt somewhere in between. And to be honest, Ive felt humiliated a few more times than that, Last tuesday to start.
One final point, was Tony Blair being diplomatic or Honest when he said Iraq had W M Distruction. There is a huge difference.

Yes, it is honourable of him to meet the fans, but just how much was it his idea, and how much was pressure applied by the board to try and keep the fans on board, am I synical, or just not stupid. the supporters club asked a few weeks back if a q&a could be arrange, it took me a while to ask jim but when i asked if he could do one on a thursday night in 2 weeks time he said yes, simple as that... my personal thought is that if all people do is ask about rumours then it's not going to work.
