I can not understand why genuine Shrewsbury fans feel the need to support Telford. Do not do it. They hate us. We hate them. It's a simple as that. That's probably the way it should be. I am sympatheitc for their genuine fans but I do not believe they would help us in the slightest if the boot was on the other foot. There is no room for sentiment in football. You can only support one team. This situation was caused by the ego trip of Andy Shaw. Nothing more nothing less. It should be resolved by Telford supporters, not us. If you have spare money stick it in our own club's coffers. Sorry if this sounds harsh. This is not meant as a dig to Telford's genuine supporters, it just represents the reality of the game!

I agree with you mate. We've done the decent thing and offered far more support in different guises to Telford than they would ever have offered us if the situation was reversed. It's time for us to move on , we've got enough problems of our own. Whatever happens to TUFC from now on it's up to them to fight their own battles

The only money we should give TUFC is that when we steal Rickets and any bugger else that will fight for the club in the summer - all grossely underpriced if they cost anything at all!!!!!

Lets not forget that the TUFC side that beat us is also the same side that has not lived up to their own expectations and often been accused of not caring.....
As for us, I feel we are now approaching a crossroads. if we go the wrong way we will be well and truly fliped.

I actually agree with Yonkoo
Yep, I was one who went on Radio Shropshire asking salop fans to support Telford. The game yesterday had STFC stewards and two thousand fans from us
I nine people with me, three for their first ever game, and I also went to the Chester match with friends cos I couldn't make our Barnet game
I don't want thanks or a medal, but if they still turn around and stick two fingers up at us then let them sort their own problems out
I just cannot believe how two faced they are, last week it was begging now it is just kicking us when we are down
I was going to arrange to take a minibus over on Thursday but I am not going to because they don't deserve it
it is a real shame, but I guess they showed their true colours earlier than I expected
where is SNFC when you need him? Bally? I need to speak to a decent Telford fan...

Sadley Rob you are right - this crisis has been 3 years in the making and so many chances to stop whats happening have been missed - all hope for me about returing to a 3rd div club with medium expectations long term has gone now i belive - we are here for a while and then a yo yo club in all likely hood.

Maybe some of us are also sick to death with being ripped off and being subjected to cra, crap, crap and more crap by our team. Maybe we've all had enough of watching crap football on a cold night? Hell we are crap!!! So why would we want to go and watch another crap match when some decent European football is on the box??? And before you say anything. STFC have treated TUFC with more respect and hospitality then the board/players/and a certain Mr Bowdler (yes you are a cnut) traet us!!!

We could have kicked you when you were really down but we didn't, we tried to help, even yesterday a signed STFC shirt was given to TUISA to auction now you have had a moment of joy and suddenly people are crowing about how great you are again and how TUFC is on the rise and how crap we are. Well if that is so then you should be able to raise all the money yourself and I genuinely hope you do.

Oh come on put yourself in our shoes We've had the worst 2 weeks as fans you could imagine - going bust nearly, then going out the trophy. We deserve a little gloating after what we've been through.

To be honest I think that Yonkoo makes some decent points.
I'm glad STFC have helped TUFC - whether it be donations, turning up to their games (when not playing us), the stewards working there for free etc. etc.
However it's now time to turn our attention to our own club.
It's hardly a club without problems is it?
I'd love to see the Umbrella groups continue from strength to strength and a supporters trust set up so that the fans have representation on the board.
I hope for the genuine fans that TUFC are still around next season, but we seriously need to think about what is happening to our club too.

no-one minds a bit of banter
yesterday Sim's MSN name became
"Sim - We beat the sh!t 1-0, we beat the sh!t 1-0, we beat the sh!t 1-0, we beat the sh!t 1-0!"
is that really necessary?
it was an absolutely brilliant win for you, a great result in your hour of need, well done, I said that at the beginning
congratulations and I hope you pull through this difficlut situation

lol, I wasnt too bad untill i read this board!!!!
Yes your gloating bowya,
well your club tried to live a dream everyone else but yourself and a few others knew wasnt sustainable. Ye we help out.
I didnt see you lot rallying around us when we were in our hour of need, showing solidarity for Shropshire football when we got relegated. No you were in the away fans section praying that we would get relegated!!!
Over the last two weeks a lot of Telford fans have trotted out the old "its bad for shropshire football line".
They're right, telford suffering from financial problems is bad for shropshire seniour football. However it doesnt come close to the effect Shropshires only seniour league club getting relegated from the football league. Does it. But hey who cares its only Shrewsbury!!! Its only national recognition for the county of shropshire.

Yes - AT A RESULT WE GLOAT
We thank you for your support though - believe me.
Results and financial plights are different. No shrews fan wants to be in our league - not together.
I'd always want you to go down - thats banter, call it gloating - whatever.
I'd NEVER want to see ANY football club go bust - except, tongue firmly in cheek, Man Utd.

Firstly without I want Manure to go bust ;D Secondly there is a big difference over gloating and taking the p**s. Thirdly as a person who I was speaking to last night said "if they cant help themselves first they never will" 2000+ home fans for a derby match that should have sold out a 6000 staduim is s**t.

no more of what JP? We were in the bleeding car when it happened!!!! As for TUFC-who gives. As for STFC-unervingly I'm starting to feel as apathetic towards the whole cherade that is STFcplaying football as i did towards the end of Kings era.

Agree, entirely.
I've done all the supporting I'll ever do. I feel now that I let sympathy get the better of common sense.
Went to the Canvey Island first leg, because I couldn't get to Hereford.
Hands up- I confess that I even wrote to the Star about meeting a really nice couple of "Bucks". The guy had been a Wellington Town supporter- I doubt if he'd be the type to actually gloat, even though he'd obviously be pleased. (To be honest, I thought it was a good idea to be part of this support, because it showed us Shrews in a good light!)
After last night - my sympathy has drained away. Charity begins at home, as they say. It should end at home, too.
The Buck (forgive the play on words) stops with them, now.
As you so rightly say, we've got enough problems of our own.
