Come off it - this is the best news we've had in ages - and let's sack Quinn and get Jones in as our new boss.

I think Andy Shaw has declared bankruptcy.
I wouldn't wish it on anyone, and yet again it's a start reminder about sugar daddy chairman.

It is terrible news but as already said it's another case of 'Sugar Daddy' chairman. He pumped loads of money into their club for a nice shiney stadium etc... but at the end of the day they probably have very little income aprt from that.
Over the last couple of days we have all criticised the board following the managers they have put in place and decisions they have made but at least one thing's for sure - our football club will have no problems financially for a number of years

This cant be true - will the club fold? Harsh - but you run the risk - this means we can not let Colin Pool take ove this club in a similar capacity to Shaw - incase he does the same If the club goes to the wall - we should embrace the fans of TUFC and hope they come to watch another Shropshire team and keep at least one fo us going

Can we dismantle the stadium, change the signs and move it?
Sad news for them - would love to gloat and laugh but you never know it could be us some day... so I won't.

I feel for them. Sources were warning me that this was going to happen two years ago.
Can we have our semi final place back now?
Serioulsy if TUFC Supporters want any help or info with regards Supporters Direct or setting up of an Umbrella Group let me know. Ant Goodwin - all the best mate.
Now COME ON SALOP!!!!

As much as I dislike telford, its rivalry's like this that make football fun.
very sad news.
Will they get a 12 point reduction? where will this put them in the table.

When I saw the title of the thread at first I thought it was a wind up and secondly I thought it was quite funny. However, on reflection I can't even begin to imagine how their fans must be feeling and would not wish what they're going through on anyone. Rivallry and friendly banter are one thing but wishing them bankrupt is another thing entirely.
How about some kind of B&A fundraiser? Whilst it may only raise a token amount it would be fairly symbolic and might be a nice gesture.

>>>>>Will they get a 12 point reduction? where will this put them in the table.<<<<< I doubt that. the Conference will dither about it for 6 months or more then decide not to do it anyway.

until this season i've been totally ambivillant towards Telford, but i have to say that i've enjoyed the rivalry this season. I wouldn't wish this on anyone (except Leeds, obviously) so i wish the fans all the best for the future.

A sponsored Telford Vs Shrewsbury fans match - everyone pays a tenner to play in it or something?
Like you say, a small gesture, but one that would be welcome.

I am stunned. This is dreadful news for their fans and for Shropshire Football. Andy Shaw must have known this was coming. Did he raise false hopes? The fans must be devastated - as someone once said - fans are generally together all the time except for the 90 minutes during the game - I would certainly attend a match if it would help.

What a good idea at least it would show solidarity amongst the non fat cats in football.
