Either way, lets not get carried away.
Darby had a cracking game against Hereford which was two months ago. That was his first acceptable performance since then.
Play as he did yesterday, and things will be fine though.

Have to say I thought it were Edwards who crossed the ball for the first goal...
Do recall thinking it were too deep and whispering 'who the ****s that to' as well ;D

I think Edwards crossed for the goal as well. Didn't Darby cross the one that Quinny headed wide though ?
Darby has had a slow start to his career here, but there were signs yesterday that he is settling in.
I do wonder if the money might have been better spent on other areas of the team, but that is not a criticism of him.

He's a proven goalscorer at this level, I say give him time and he will be a great asset to this club.
Hasn't been fit since he joined us in my eyes and although unfortunately I couldn't make it to the game yesterday was happy to hear from most that he put in an improved performance.

I thought he played brilliant yesterday. He had a hand in the first goal, pressured the Morecambe defence whenever they had it, layed off some nice balls and was my man of the match (Edwards was good aswell).

DD is definately a diamond geezer and town fans have yet to see the best of him. If you talk to supporters of his previous clubs they will tell you his work rate is second to none and yesterday I think he went some way towards proving that even though he would admit himself that he is not yet fully fit. The goals will come just get behind him....!!!

My opinion on him as gone up a hell of a lot after yesterday - first time I've seen him work hard and chase down balls. It seemed to help as he was getting a lot of encouragement from us in the Riverside, so confidence player is probably a good description. He seems to be well liked for being a straightforward, strong striker and more performances like that will endear himself to the Town fans no doubt.

He ran around gamely but when he had potential scoring opportunities looked well short of the mark - didn't look capable of beating the last defender. It'll take a month or so for him to get any sort of sharpness. Quinn looked bamboozled by us playing it along the floor. Good.

Duane Darby's performance saturday was as good as his debut against Gravesend, in between he has been poor.Perhaps the extra training and the teams kick up the arse from D&R has done the trick.

it is easy to alter this board so people have to register but as its only the odd few who spoil it now and again (and could do so even if they had to register) its probably better to give those who don't want to register the opportunity to post freely
there are 5 of us who look out for rogue posts and are usually pretty quick in wiping them
ps
i posted a dodgy post last week and ant quickly wiped it ( it wasn't racist but it was about one);D
