Good post, Paul. Agree. But I've been reading that, from 1st January, owners of vehicles which are not taxed, who haven't informed the authorities that said vehicles have been sold, scrapped or taken off the road etc will be automatically fined £80 (£40 if fine paid within 28 days). Can't help thinking though about the injustice until now. You could get fined £60 and three penalty points for exceeding the speed limit by a little without posing any danger to other road users. Someone with no tax, insurance or mot could have been driving around with little chance of being caught. Still looks cheaper than "speeding" though. Happy New Year!!!
