Absolute Quality
Ran his nuts off today
Hasn't got a lot of pace, but good on the ball, held it up well, set up the first and second goals with determined running and never stopped closing down
Everything but a goal
Keep it up Jody, super stuff!

his run and pass for the 2nd goal is something a lot of other town players should take note of
and how on earth did he jink past those 2 players on one of his runs ?

The thing that puzzles me is that he wears shorts that are 6 sizes too big for him- but Still can out-pace anyone. Classy stuff. Keep going BamBam!

He has a low centre of gravity allowing him to turn quickly one way or the other. Excellent quick feet and an eye for the goal. Perhaps he is a little selfish but I can cope with that if he gets into scoring positions and he will create for others as we saw today.

He's great! What I found endearing is the gestures- almost as if he's apologetic about not scoring, when he'd done everything he could! He's an absolute gem!

He were quality today...he turned that defender inside out to set up that second goal. Was just gutted he didn't get the goal that he deserved!!

He has a lovely soft first touch so he brings the ball under control very quickly. A bit greedy perhaps (what good striker isn't) but he did link up well with some nice one-twos and lay-offs. Seems a quality signing and a cut above. Cramb on the other hand is the laziest player I've ever seen!

I was satisfied with the performance of the front. Difficult conditions for the type of player Banim is, and don't think we will start to see the best of him until the second half of January.
The Cramb-Banim partnership is a return to the playing style of pre-season but which Quinn - incorrectly - cut short. Cramb had a decent game, coming short and drawing other players into the game.

Cramb on the other hand is the laziest player I've ever seen! That was the liveliest I think we have seen him, he did actually move a lot across the front of the defence and picked the ball up a lot, bringing players in - in my opinion- but i wish he would try and win a few more headers - he doesn't seem to try, but when he did win one Banim was there for the flick-on.

Thought Cramb was very influential in the game. Agree that he was very lively for him. Competed the whole way through. Good link up with Banim. Keep this partnership for a while to see how it progresses.

I get the impression from the Q&A session and also yesterdays game that Cramby is some kind of mentor to Jody. Cramby was looking to put through Jody as many times as possible and was spuring him on throughout the game by talking to him and even showing him where his was going wrong.
Perhaps this is what Cramby needs? There is little communication between with him and lukey and Jody seems to be more wide eyed and willing to listen where Luke does not seem to.
Perhaps there is a partnership developing here ?something similar like Jemmo and Luke had at the start?

Jody was excellent yesterday, it was good to see him keep going for the full 90 minutes on such a heavy surface, that means his fitness levels must be good
The Cramb-Banim partnership looks like it could be a real good 'un, they complement each other well
Cramb was superb yesterday, some of his passing and vision wouldn't have looked out of place several divisions higher, wonderful speed of thought

Banim was excellent, but I was pleased to read the Prof praising Cramb. Some people are already set against him, but he looks the most equipped of our players to play at a higher level. Different class. The choice is who to play with Cramband I am happy with Jody. Is Darby going to be a wasted buy ?

Honest hard working player,Jody. He has a footballers head good dribbling skill and awareness of other players.seems quite to footed .only weekness are his top rate pace [the sort that outruns defenders],and his height. a different sort of player than our own Luke Rodgers,in Town opinions could be a great signing,But i await to see his further games ,as one Swallow dosent make a Summer.Having said that a great debut...

Why ask if Darby is a wasted buy? Indeed, why are some now asking whether it’s all over for Rodgers at the Meadow? There is nothing wrong with having a decent size squad with plenty of competition for places…it keeps those in the first eleven on there toes with the understanding that if they do not perform we have players waiting for their chance to impress…
I don’t understand all this ‘he hasn’t joined us to sit on the bench’ malarkey when talking about Darby either…as if anyone has that intension when signing for a club. Cramb didn’t sign to sit on the bench, Rodgers didn’t stay to sit on the bench, Banim didn’t sign to sit on the bench…they are all here for first team football and all must impress to achieve that…
I don’t think Darby is a wasted signing and I wouldn’t like to see any of a strikers sold…competition for places is a good thing and you can never tell when injury may force changes...

Thought banim played really well and ran Sam close for MOM.
have to saytho' if it had been Rodgers out there and he had attempted half the chances banim had (and not scored) he'd have probably been slated for not being a team player.
Having said that Banim did look quality.
The most worrying thing now for me, is the right side of midfield. We can cope with gregor, but I feel that untill Street realises that playing right midfield is different to cnetral midfield we will continue to lack width. What a difference Lowe made in this respect.
All in all a good performance, but lets not forget it was against a very poor Northwich side.
