Totally agree with the 'not an English team bit'.
But on paper they're still English and the fans are English too so....I'd rather have the Arse than a foreign side.

In fairness to USA United they are victims of their own success, winning everything in sight their fans and some people who actually come from Muckchester thus expect all to bow down before them. History dictates that all empires fall with time, The age of USA Utd dominating the game has gone. 2 further points, to say this is a good thing as it will deal the Glazers a blow is petty backbiting, it is not the Glazers fault that things went wrong in europe. To try to blame others when the root cause is obvious is cowardly and pathetic. Furthermore you may have guessed I am not a USA fan, however 5 clubs in the last 16 would have sent out a message wouldn't it. I guess there may be a few more Chelski fans down south now I know I know...

Arsenal may be an English club, but they're not an English team. In the most part, our sides doing well in Europe would only indicate that some clubs in our league were wealthy enough to buy the cream from other countries - certainly that would be true of Arsenal. Our game has enough financial inequality with the same clubs perpetually qualifying for the CL and generating huge annual income from their inclusion. Personally, every one of them screwing up sticks a smile on my face because not one of them cares about the general good of the game in England. Multiply that by 1000 when it comes to the Old Firm. ! Fair points Kilburn and i think you're absolutely right about the top four clubs not giving a toss about the rest of English football. However surely Fulham (amongst others) have played their part in the whole globalisation of the english league with their recent purchases from europe and further a field. I seem to remember them fielding sides with more than half of their players being non british. If you were happy to accept Al Fayeds money in order to propel the club from the 4th Div then you have to accept some of the responsibility of changing the face of english football.
