I don't know why but it has to be Blackadder for me. It doesn't matter how many repeats, either. I was watching it tonight and I was just holding a drink of coffee and they had that bit where the two actors are trying to teach thick Prince George to act. He had to srike a heroic prose and roar before he delivered his speech. I laughed so much I spilt the coffee all over me. And the bit where he warns Thick George about anarchists- "There are rumblings in the State of Prussia- unless that's the sausages!!"

Blackadder has got a bit tame for me now.
Still laugh at Only Fools and Horses, especially the Batman and Robin episode ;D

An accident waiting to happen

I think that Only fools and horses has been spoilt by the bbc showing all the time. Endless repeats.

There is a scene in Bruce Almighty when he makes the newsreader talk funny....That gets me time and time again and quite often I end up with stomach ache after laughing so much. There is also an Episode of BlackAdder 3 when they Prince George says lucky involving a chicken impression...top notch One Foot In The Grave, an episode were Victor needs the loo, but plays the theme to Hawaii 5.0 OFAH, three men, a lady and a litle baby...the funniest episode ever and quality

Various scenes from League Of Gentlemen, Black Books and The Mighty Boosh.
In terms of stand up, the 'ballad' in Bill Bailey's 'Part Troll' live show is fantastic, as is the' Humpty Dumpty' sketch that Ricky Gervais does. Omir Djalli, Paul Merton, Dylan Moran and Ross Noble usually provide some serious laugh out loud moments too.

Lee Evans and his football supporters sketch as well as his sketches on women (the broken down car one is brilliant) I haven't seen much of his stuff but I think he did the car sketch at the Comic Aid benefit for the tsunami and it was absolutely brilliant. Which of his videos/DVDs would you recommend is best to start with

Blackadder & OFAH are consistently excellent Large elements of Fawlty Towers are great although can be a little OTT sometimes. Bottom had its great moments, and I always used to enjoy watching the repeats of M*A*S*H* on BBC2, classic black comedy. Stand up wise, Al Murray as the Pub Landlord is superb And something which some of our posters under say 25 may not have heard, the commentary of Brian Johnston and Jonathan Agnew in the England v West Indies Test c. 1991, the infamous "leg over" episode, always put a big smile on my face

In Dumb & Dumber when he puts a gallon of laxative in his drink and he's on the bog with this terrible diarrhoea!!! Also family guy is hilarious with quotes like these: You must be a parking ticket, cuz you got fine written all over you. Peter: If you could be stranded on a desert island with any woman in the world, who would it be? Quagmire: Taylor Hanson. Joe Swanson: Taylor Hanson is a guy. Quagmire: [Laughs] You guys are yankin' me. "Hey, let's put one over on Quagmire." Peter: No, he's actually a guy, Quagmire. Quagmire: What? That's insane. That's impossible. [Pause] Quagmire: Oh god. Oh my god. I've got all these magazines. Oh god. Lois: Oh, I haven't been on a college campus in years. Everything seems so different. Stewie: Really? Perhaps if you laid on your back with your ankels behind your ears that would ring a few bells. Stewie: Hey, mother, I come bearing a gift. I'll give you a hint. It's in my diaper and it's not a toaster.Lois: "Huh, what's this? You know Stewie, Mommy doesn't usually read things out of Chris's pocket. She's more respectufl than that." Stewie: "Whatever helps you sleep at night, b***h." Lois: What's going on down here? Stewie: Oh, we're playing house. Lois: That boy's all tied up. Stewie: Roman Polanski's house
