...through sport or otherwise?
Limped out of a game on Monday with a dead leg...they normally heal over night but this ones been with me for three days now. Its as painful now as it was then and no amount if Deep Heat can shift it...
Sure others have suffered worse, mind?

Disolcating my knee cap against Farnborough last year, I've never felt pain like it before and never want to again either.
Dunno if playing 'fox and hounds' counts as a sporting inury but running face first into a wire fence was certainly a shock.

I broke my finger in 3 different places when a fat greek lad fell on me playing football. A local hardman offered to 'pop' my finger back into place as it only looked dislocated, thankfully I declined!

Aye Mikeinlaspalmas, I'm in your club (via footy and not basketball tho). I've heard people say ligament damage is more painful than a break, however (touch wood) I've not had a break to compare it to. Old chap still wouldn't take me to hospital mind....... good job mother giv him a clip round the ear on return home.

Tore my ligaments in my right knee in 92 playing football. Went down like a dying horse. 6 weeks for the swelling to come down before they could operate on it

i've also broken my hand and that was nothing like as pain as ligament damage or back strain. but my bro did a cisse and snapped his leg in a collision with a goalkeeper. he had an 'external fixator' on for ages and it looked horrendous and now he has one leg shorter than t'other. he also broke his neck mountain-biking.

Having the tip of my RH index finger bitten off by a rabbit as a kid. They stitched it back on, and the nail is freakishly thick and straight.

Chopped part of my finger off in a thick oak door, it didn't really hurt untill i noticed it was bleeding then it hurt like hell-my brother had to pick up the the end of the finger for the ambulence crew once it was bandaged though, I did continue to play tennis Broke my wrist saving a penalty in a school match, unfortunatly i had to play on despite crying, because we had no reserve keeper broke arm, twisted it and chipped the lebow, some whippet tackled me in a rugby match and then landed on my arm. My coach told me to run it under a cold tap and come back in a few minutes when the pain had died down The hospital wanted to stick quite a lot of metal in my arm to straighten it out or something. Done my knee ligaments playing football at uni. Had a back/hip/knee problem made worse through playing tennis/rugby and athletics on a regular basis. do i qualify for a disabled badge too?

I limped out of a game with a dead leg when I was 16,was in agony for 3 days and then collapsed at school with a Dean Spink style blood clot in my leg, luckily I Didn't end up with a scar that is quite as horrific as Deanos, although it was agony for about a week after. Also dislocated my shoulder skiing in France and they put my shoulder back into place by hanging my shoulder over the side of a hospital bed and dropping a bucket of sand into my hand.......That bloody hurt.Needed 2 operations when I got back to England to put it right.

Torn my right groin 4 times
Various finger injuries
Have Osgood Slatters in both my knees which hurt like hell after doing exercise (for those of you that don't know what OS is, it's a lump beneath your kneecap)

Doesn't OS stop as you get older? I always though it was a growing pain if you see what I mean

Doesn't OS stop as you get older? I always though it was a growing pain if you see what I mean Yeh it's a growing thing. It's when the bone in your knee grows faster than your cartilage and it can tear it. I've had it for 5 years now and although it's not as painful as it was a few years back it still hurts a bit. Plus the lumps on my knees are still there sticking out and don't seem to be getting any smaller as years go by A knock on those lumps and it's murder.

Ratcliffesghost cut himself on his wit once. Unfortunately it wasn't a fatal injury. What about when you dropped your wallet out of the top floor window at the wakeman, ran down the stairs to retrieve it and it hit you on the back of your head
