I noticed Sleeping Night is running today, so chucked it in a cheeky little double with easy favourite Moscow Flyer. Any chance in it's field today RG? Should be in the first 3 or 4 but goes in a "proper race" for the first time today, with proper horses and jockeys, rather than the famers hacks ridden by their sons and nephews which it ran against at cheltenham

Luke Harvey tipped Sleeping Night on Radio 5 this morning so it wont win. Lord of the River in this one, 14lbs better off than Sleeping Night;) Kock De La Vesvre looks good E/W value 16/1 Talking of farmers sons Reg did you notice the locally trained horse in the Foxhunters got round without the trainers son on top.

Oh yes, but I do miss Alistair in the saddle, I Have memories at Eyton on Seven of him being deposited head first in a fence in one race and having to be pulled out by his feet by the clerk of the course. And on another occasion he decided to race wide down the far side looking for the better ground but overdid it and slipped in the river ;D

I think I may have a small wager on Captain Corelli in the first at Aintree today, for no other reason than my wife read the book and enjoyed it.
