........ that Scott Howie is dropped for saturday to be replaced by young Mr Hart A brave (or foolish) decision. It remains to be seen. Aiston to also start. Oh, and Tolley broke his nose in training today but should be o.k.

2 Questions Why is Kevin Street Spreading Rumours about Howie??? Why would Peters think that the debacle at the back on sat was in anyway Howies fault – yeah he’s got a tendency to punch but the save he made just prior to there goal was a good one – there was know why he could have held that!!!

You could argue he should have stopped the first goal - it was hardly a netbuster. And on the second, he should have dealt with the corner. Having said that, Tinson was also at fault on both goals, too.

Scott dropped for Saturday- Oh, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT is really scarey!!! I HOPE it's just a rumour. Surely there's no way Gary Peters would drop him and substitute Joe Hart- the lad's got too much to learn. Scott isn't ill or injured is he? There's a fluey thing going around- he hasn't got it, has he?

Why would Peters think that the debacle at the back on sat was in anyway Howies fault – Why did Howie let the corner go past him at about waist height for their second goal ? There was obviously uncertainty between Howie, Tinson & Walton all through the first half. I heard (in the pub ;D) last week that Howie would be dropped, but it did not happen. The lack of action on renewing contracts is apparently causing uncertainty and discontent in the camp.

I heard it - he did make a couple of mistakes- and it's SO unlike him. Which makes me think there's something wrong, somehow. Howie is just so professional.

Well young joe aint going to get any experiance stuck in the reserves, i hate people who say "hes got no experiance"so he cant do this or that, chuck him in and get him the experiance he needs, i like Scott but if hes under performing then he needs to know his place in the team is not certain.
On another note young Joe is moree than good enough for this league and has a bright future ahead of him...get him in i say!

Well, IMHO if hes not good enough to be in the team now, then he never will be, its all a load of bollox this no experiance so he shouldnt be in talk, he plays with senior pros every day, he needs first team games to get even more experiance , the only way to do that is by playing first team football!
Get him in the side, im sure hes come on leaps and bounds since GP over, if he thinks hes worth a spelkl in goal then i trust his judgement 100%

Hart replaces Howie ? Don't make me laugh, GP would be guilty of gross proffessional misconduct if that were to happen. It WILL NOT happen !

No way will Scott be dropped he is by a mile the player of the season and any defences lapses are due to keep shuffling the back four, I know Tinno is captain but for me he was more at fault last week than any of the others. If I had a preference it would be a back four of Wilkinson - Walton - Whitehead - Ashton obviously with Whitehead's suspension looming it looks like Tinno will be in.!

This is a wind up isnt it? I don't believe GP would drop Howie for one minute.
The defence was as bad for the two goals conceded on monday as the keeper was.

If we were sitting comfortably mid-table, I think everyone would be quite happy about that. We're not- so surely we're safer with Scott's proven ability?

I'm with kickin on this one, Joe Hart wouldn't be played if he wasn't up to it, it'll be great experience for him, and I know these are crucial games, but I think it's a brave decision, which could prove brilliant! Godd luck Joe (if it's true :

At this stage of the season and such an important game it would seem a very strange decision one that can't afford to backfire?

If Howie is dropped for Hart them unless Hart has improved by universal proportions since i last saw him play then we are ****ed. A dangerously reckless move.

Hold your fire Geoff. We have to trust Peters on this one and have faith in his management. He works with this squad every day and will have a much better take on the situatiion than anyone on here.

if he Plays Hart and it backfires GP is in danger of the fans turning against him imo he has already criticised the fans for leaving early and getting on the players backs, can you imagine the reaction if Hart is responsible for a loss for you guys today? unless Howie is injured of course?

To be honest, though unsure of how this will turn out, I reckon it's a good sign that GP is willing to make changes when he feels it's necessary, and doesn't just stick with the same players getting complacent.

To be fair pab i too have seen a lot of Hart over the last couple of years and and i too had my doubts. I think he has all the physical attributes but his decision making has been questionable, but then he is a young man still learning.
With better , more experienced players around him he just might make a name for himself
