The council turned down the offer of 14 million, current bid mention says over 10 million, would like to know what the actual figure is , and who submited the bid.

I think there should be enough with the grants and other funding soureces for the builing of the new meadow to take place.
Would be handy if we knew the actual figure.

£10 million would build a decent stadium, I don't know how much the land would cost though. I'd have thought the club would be able to get a considerable sum of money in grants for it to become a distinct possibility.

Here's a hypothetical theory..... Town get 10 million from them for the site. Covenant costs 2 million to lift, council get 2 million and have to do nothing and spend nothing. Houses are built on the site that was sold for less than possible value so builders get a good deal. Council get a good deal - making money for nothing. Town get 4 million less for the ground and seem worse off. Could that possibly happen?

Yes, but remember the £14million, was to include 42 acres at Oteley Road.
