It's onl;y a quick thought and I know it's easy for me to suggest this, given that I live nearly 200 miles away, but what about following Charlton's lead when they were trying to return to the Valley. What about putting someone up for election to the council from either B-and-A or as a STFC Supporters candidate?
Having read about the Charlton example, it definitely made the local council sit up and take notice.
If the right ward was chosen after consultation amongst the supporters, I'm sure that we could put up a good showing. Admittedly, I don't know the cost of this, but what does everyone else think?

That sounds like a fantastic idea. I reckon Ade Plimmer should be that man you have a point, this could be just what we need to put a bit of pressure on the council.

It's certainly an idea - when are the next elections? STFC have various supporters who would fit the bill well.

Many councillors are elected on a very small percentage of the votes and win by a tiny number, just a few football fans voting against them can make all the difference.
If councillors think they are going to get voted out they will be bricking it, most are in it for the money (look at the 'expenses', freebies and brown envelopes) and because they like to tell people what to do.
Choose the targets carefully and go for it!

it costs money to stand for a CLLR, so where is that gonna come from, any candidate would have to stand for more than stfc to shift enough voters, it would work where I live though.

REALISTIC - It doesnt cost a penny to stand for election in local elections as i have all the bumph from last year.
I was seriously thinking about it myself last May to be honest, i did mention the need to do something along these lines but there wasn't a lot of interest shown on here.
What we need to do is field candidates in every ward that has voted against buying the meadow, even if we only won a few seats it may just be enough to swing the balance of power back into the hands of Labour or even the Lib Dems.
Are there any local elections this year?

Kickin's right. It's free, no deposit needed.
Has the boundary re-organisation also meant a change in the dates of elections.
You are talking, as Dave says, about just over 200 votes in Sutton to get rid of 2 tory councillors.
You only need to get rid of 3 for the balance of power to change. Most of all, it's about getting people more aware and that will need a lot of hard work.
The fans of this football club need to get working in a totally different way to get things moving.

Well put Dave, kickin and welshshrew.
This needs to be discussed and to be thought about quickly. The numbers needed to swing power are little in comparison and are a realistic target.

what we need is someone who has lived in an area for a long time and can serious get a large personal vote, that's what swings local elections

kickenpretty s right. If this is serious , you must target those who have proved to be the most obstructive members of the council. B*A need to target the Tory party in Shrewsbuiry &Atcham
