The developers were hoping to move in this week but the 106 agreement has not been tied up between the club and the council. This is hoped to be sorted very soon.

There should be some sort of turf cutting ceremony - Roland and GP and a few fans down there!!!

I guess Roland will cut the first piece of turf I guess seeing as he has done so much to get the NM rolling, how long will it take to sort out the 106 agreement?

Planning permission for the New Meadow was granted in September, 2003 subject to detail to be contained in a Section 106 agreement between the Club and the Council Why is it 16 months later that it has not been settled between the Club and the Council?

And what and who is progressing this at STFC to ensure this is tied up as soon as possible. It's all very well moaning at the council but do STFC actually know how to put this to bed.

I can't wait for the move to the New Meadow.
Gay Meadow is an embarrasment. The club have no money making facilities out of match days, it takes an age to get out of the car park and the pitch keeps flooding.
We'll go up the league when we move because potential signing are bound to be impressed with the new ground.

well our ground is nothing like the KC but it has helped us sign Martin Smith (he even stayed when he could of easily moved up a league in the summer, said the atmosphere was cracking) Chris Wilmott, Ashley Westwood, Josh Low and Scott McGleish
These are all players who should be at a higher level...looks like King of the Wing J-Low is off to Crystal Palace

My understanding is that Community facilities section has/is to be reduced/amended. You will note this is no small task to be adhered to fully, and on a more pessimistic note, if this is not signed off in the next few weeks it could even jepordise the NM being built this year SUMMARY OF CONTENTS OF THE 106 AGREEMENT Highway obligations in association with the formation of the new access junction on Oteley road COMMUNITY FACILITIES: - To provide a community pitch, 6 no 5 a side all weather pitches, children’s pitch and changing block, before stadium is properly brought into use. For matches with larger attendances, other car parks will have to be brought into use, and planning permission may need to be sought. All sites to be marshalled by stewards. FREE SHUTTLE BUS;- The club to provide free shuttle bus between the Town Centre and stadium for ticket holders, and free buses between the Park & Ride sites and the stadium. TICKETING MEASURES; - Will include vouchers for free shuttle bus; information on travel by bus, rail, cycle, parking, walking, and the club will consider other ticket sales outlet. MEOLE BRACE RETAIL PARK; - Stewards will man the underpass and tell fans the Their cars could be clamped; Club to monitor the use of this route and try to resolve any problems; consult operators of Meole Brace Retail Park throughout the season, and keep the Liaison Group informed. LIMITED STADIUM PARKING: - Parking permits issued to home and away executive directors and members; Fans will be advised of restricted stadium parking; Parking for 24 coaches. None of this is new though.
The club/Alaska knew all along that they would have to comply with these measures. I don't see which of them stops the builders making a start.
Surely Jennings want us out asap so they can start building. I assume our staying at Gay Meadow is guaranteed until the new Meadow is completed.
