Feeney seems to be the main man now, he's having a strong end to the season, Well done to all those that went, Hurst seems to have a good record against Charlton and their lovely lovely fans. I look forward to taking them on next season on better terms. I have been his biggest critic, enjoying a lot of humble pie! I'd like to see him in the middle of a 4 man defence to see what he is really capable of.

Now we're safe....perhaps we can get rid of Hurst and doig, and get Taylor and bignot back,if there PTS per game is better than H&D,and give em another go next season 👍👍🫢🫢😳🫣😃 Behave!

A battling performance worthy of a point today. Well done to Hurst and the lads. We were excellent first half. Marco had hardly anything to do all game. Marosi - 7 Benning - 7 Anderson - 7 Dunkley - 7 Feeney - 8 Sobowale - 8 Shipley - 7 Winchester - 7 Bloxham - 7 Udoh - 7 Bit harsh on Bennett, I thought he deserved amark of some sort. Still, the result is even better if we played the entire game with 10 men.😜

Well done to whoever thought to offer him a contract to come back last summer. And as for Sobowale - I don’t care how badly he misses if can continue to put in the high energy performances as he did all afternoon - Charlton must have found him a right pain - I like the excitement.

I'm late to the discussions tonight but well done Town. Great to see we are finally mathematically safe despite me and a few others knowing we were safe a month ago with the standard of the bottom quarter of this seasons division. Those below us really are extremely poor.
Now, are we sure that there are still no doom mongers still hiding under pillows wondering if 1 we could still get caught by other teams below us with their games in hand. 2 that GD might just be our downfall 3 that 46 points might well not be enough to save us this season 4 that the other two relegation places would be two from Vale, Cheltenham and Burton.

7.30am start, home at 23:30. Worth it! We hit the bar too in the first half. Well done on those who dressed up. I seen a t-rex and a spice girl amongst the many braving slighty colder than desired temperatures.

Also a wee note:
Feeney and Sobowale were good today. Good job we have played them in their preferred positions...not like its end of the season eh! 🤣
Also the ref was really good. Worth a mention.

I've just seen the highlights, How did Sobowale miss that chance.
It looks like Bennett makes a difference, especially with set pieces.

He's had a contract offer ok the table for a long time hasn't he? Think there is probably a reason he hasn't signed and probably no coincidence that he's hit a bit of goalscoring form towards the end of his contract. Definitely more of a chance he will sign than others but still think probably more likely he will seek a better contract elsewhere hes clearly more interested in going elsewhere than staying here, he 's already been offered a contract, ball is totally in his court Udoh saying that in his post match interview that it’s up to the club 🤷🏻♂️

I heard Udoh in his post match say he set himself a target to get 10 goals this season...i hope thats a revised figure and not a target from start of the season because that is low.

You and a few others didn't know we were safe a month ago - you thought we were safe. It's all been far too close, rescued by just a handful of very important goals, the Price one and Udoh's. The Price one was priceless.

Feeney RCB, Sobowale RWB and Bloxham right sided forward has looked promising. Caused the first goal. All players under contract next season if Hurst et al want them to be. (And also all players who were contracted at the start of this season too....) It's why the formation looked good to me at the start of the season. Triangles and trios all over the pitch. Just a shame they seemed to give up that intensity with the ball after about 3 games and resort to long ball and limited possession.

Which translates as "I want more money than they've offered" MM's our contract negotiation chap, I assume the offer on the table is our starting offer, bearing in mind Udoh wasn't really firing on all cylinders at the time. Two can play contract negotiation.

Do people honestly still fall for this ‘I want to stay but it’s up to the club’ nonsense?
Would love him to stay, but if he chooses to leave I don’t begrudge him, good luck to him just don’t string it along for weeks.

Ok I THOUGHT we were safe but that was based on the fact that far more than just 4 teams were worse than us. It's not because we were doing much at all, its because those all around us were just so awful. I did expect one or two to put up some kind of a fight but nothing at all. Zilch. The bottom 4 as it now stands were even worse that I thought, I did expect them to get to 44/5/6 but they cant even manage that (wait till Tuesday for final confirmation).

I was always confident that we would do just enough to be safe. I did think we would get possibly 50 points so we have actually under achieved but weve still done enough to not get dragged into the real scrap (comfortably in the end).

Hopefully we will finish on 51 points, I will be travelling up from the south to celebrate the fine achievement of another season in League 1. Leyton Orient have lost 4, drawn 1 and won 1 in their last 6 games, even losing to a last minute winner by Fleetwood, yesterday! I hope Hursty gives the team the message that the fans (especially away ones) are owned big time and that we just go for it on Saturday. Yes, it has been a very difficult season, but that is nearly behind us and the club needs to rebuild and move forward, both on and off the pitch.

Hopefully we’ll know more now we know what league we’ll be in next season. It shows willing that we’ve offered him something when we could have been in league 2 next year. We’ll see. It’s never generally a good sign that he’s swerving it but our financial stability is paramount.
