What a depressing afternoon, truth is we are just not good enough, I'm just fed up with what's on offer at the moment, we really are carrying a lot of passengers in this squad.

Scientists remain convinced there may be a single brain cell in Flanagans head, but the search continues.

We somehow seem to be staggering towards safety by doing very little to actually help ourselves at the moment. I know we have a tough run in but some recent performances have been really poor in terms of applicaton and tactics. Thank gooodness the rest of the sides below us are equally as bad, or worse than us.
Not sure how much blame can be laid at Hursts door as he inherited the squad, and is likely to have to rebuild 70% of the squad next year, on whats likely to be a very tight budget. The thought of next season is hardly filling me with much optimism.

I don't think it was that bad a performance, before the red it was pretty even with not an awful lot going on. I guess we'll debate whether it was a red or not but that changed the game. Even if we think it was harsh it looked reckless and he gave the ref a decision to make when he really had no reason to. Just so up and down of late. Thank the Lord those below don't seem to be able to get anything going. For the minute anyhow. Do you mind! we are trying to have a meltdown here.

When Leahy left there were some who questioned what he did for us. That question has been answered this afternoon, if he was still here we would be a lot higher up the table, he still hasn't really been replaced here.
Not too many questioned him, only those looking to be controversial. We miss both his quality and his leadership skills.

Marosi - had nothing to do, commanded his area well Dunkley - won everything, solid. Flanagan - still don't think its a red, very good before that. Feeney - Solid but nothing going forward Benning - did nothing of note Shipley - 0/10 performance, put one cross in and I can't remember him touching the ball again Bayliss - -10/10 performance, had the ball plenty and lost it every time. Perry - at least tried but wasted a great opportunity that would have probably given us the 3 points Bloxham - confidence clearly shot, poor touch, poor passing and no direct running Udoh - tried but had no chance I rarely agree with Booing but today the players deserved it. Totally unacceptable performance by a squad of players that have probably accepted they wont be here next season. Hurst allowed his players to put in that performance. I would have been making 5 subs at 60 minutes. Leahy showing his class by not celebrating and going around the home crowd at full time clapping the fans. Disagree on a couple of these. Marosi - really poor distribution, had nothing to do. Dunkley - won headers but when it was on the ground he was too grabby and got beaten too easily. Flanagan - agree, good until the red card. Feeney - a couple of fantastic through balls and defended well - our only attacking threat. Benning - agree, a really quiet game for him. Shipley - agree, really anonymous for him. Bayliss - agree was woeful. Perry - headless chicken, why did he cross when Feeney put him clean through ? Bloxham - to quote Jimmy Greaves : "he trapped the ball further than I could kick it" Udoh - agree, tried but to little effect.

It's also saying something that we have 2 loanees not even making the match day squad and Anderson only pops up on the bench for the first time in ages.
Your loanees should be good enough to be starting not having weekends shopping with the Mrs.
That's poor recruitment and a waste of valuable resource.

That was just awful. Where was the fight to stay up. Those players were an embarrassment today. I wouldn’t mind if Hursty got rid of the lot of them after that. Do they care. Rather have youngsters that tried. I’m absolutely fuming.

The players in the side today that are more than capable couldn’t be bothered. The rest aren’t anywhere good enough anyway. Hurst has a real battle on his hands to get this team to get one more point, which I think will be enough. 46 with our goal difference is too close to call. As for next season, I agree, it has to be a massive clear out.

Your loanees should be good enough to be starting not having weekends shopping with the Mrs. Loan players are vital. Loan players should be a way of gaining quality without paying all there wages. With such a small budget it is vital that they work out. That has been our issue all season. I think we could have had a very different season if our loan players would have stayed fit and contributed.

I decided some time ago that, after many years, this will be my last season as a season ticket holder.
The only thing that can change my mind is if significant new investment is introduced into the Club.
The thought of MM and Ware (if they are still on the payroll) bringing in cheap replacements of the standard that they've produced so far, resulting in inevitable relegation to Division 2, is not something I'm prepared to put up with.
That's if we don't get relegated this year! We're relying on Cheltenham and Port Vale not reaching 46 points.

Nice one Flanagan
Cries wolf about getting a bad tackle , then right after decides he's going to take someone out , get himself an early holiday , now sits out the last 3 games to ensure he's available for his new club next season
Unprofessional as ever , now sod off and get out of our club

A performance and result that was infuriating as the game was there to win. Funny that I would now snap your had off for that result.

Agree regarding the Flanagan tackle. The ref clearly blew his whistle for our foul yet Flanagan carried on and went straight through the player. Makes no sense and he had enough time to collide with the player without taking him out completely. He’s a good player but of no use if suspended or injured for 60% of the season 🤷🏻♂️

Embarrassing. Even at 0 0. I know we can hang onto the fact they hadn’t tested Marosi etc etc but the truth is we were miles off it. We weren’t pressing, running channels, winning 50/50s.
I would say the players turned up today and didn’t give their all. That’s my honest opinion.
A terrible standard of football is bad enough but combine it with a knackered Wycombe and a Salop side not showing any desire and it really does become pointless being there.
Right up there with Burton away that. But I do think we at least tried there. I can’t honestly say we did today, not to their full capacity anyway.
Dear oh dear.

Flanagan was always going to go thundering into their lad. You could call it a mile off, and that’s exactly what he did.
Out of control and the ref isn’t stupid, he sees the frustration in the tackle.
Moron. Shame because he’s our only hope of playing football at the back.

Too many players did not turn up today, from the lack of interest and a number of players either jogging or walking you would think we were comfertable mid table wuth nothing to play for, perry lacked the bottle to shoot, one shoot on target sumed up our lack if threat up front, the three midfielders did not talk to each other, they were static forcing defenders to go for long balls that Udoh was never going to win against defenders who were a foot taller. Bloxham was far to easily forced off the ball. Wycombe were average and town were dire, a stupid unnecessary challenge and a red card. Frustrating that Wycombe scored from a free kick they were allowed to retake. Town blew a chance to get a point today, exeter did town a big favour, Cambridge drawing was enough to take them past us. Unless town have a 200 % improvement and one of our opponents has a mare I don't see us picking up any points from the remaining games.

Not heard PH's comments yet.
He can say what he likes about Flanagan as he won't be playing in our last 3 games.
He must be absolutely seething about that performance, but I suppose he can't be over critical as he somehow needs to get this bunch to squeeze out another point, which I doubt will be coming our way on Tuesday.
Not happy with Vale playing Wycombe on Tuesday either, as that will be Wycombe's 4th game in 2 weeks.

Add to the fact Wycombe have played 3 games in a week, including a defeat in a final. We had a whole week just to focus on this game, and they still don't turn up. I'm so wound up after that today. Totally fed up.

Man alive that was poor. For alot of us older ones (let's be brutally honest) it's not the money that you want to spend doing something else. It's got to the stage where I'd rather give my money to a Donkey sanctuary to not go. There's no cohesion in anything they do in home games. The thing I always notice at home games is the pitch. Second bounce and it's going over a player ! It's like watching a power ball that ya messed around with as a kid! All of them can go for me with the exception of two players. Feeney. I feel for him. Slotting in for right back last ten minutes is one thing. Every f"""""g game ! What professional club goes the full season without a right back 🤔! And Shipley. His wages won't tempt anyone for his last year and next season he will be our 'go to ' player for something different in a team that's bound to be cheap and cheerful...

Shockingly bad from start to finish. So many misplaced places, little composure and, from some, apparently little commitment. Why fans chanted Flanagan's name as he trudged off, I don't know. The sending off was the turning point but we deserved nothing from that game regardless.
Wycombe were very ordinary but that's all they had to be. Leahy scoring just rubbed salt into the wound. We were terrible and and are now reduced to hoping there are four worse teams than us.
Given the high stakes, that was one of worst performances I've seen. They either looked like they had downed tools already or know that most of them are not going to be here next season.

We seem incapable of taking control of our own destiny , so we have to continue to hope the teamz below too us lose the next few ganes.
Even if most won't be playing for us next season, they are payed professionals and should do there best but yet again a total lack of fighting spirit, The lack of quality was dire and has been all season.

Would quite happily never see any of the following players in a Town shirt again: Shipley, Bayliss, Flanagan, Udoh, Perry, Bloxham, Dunkley, Bowman.
The Ratcliffe relegation side would beat this lot.
Not quite sure how Hurst and Doig can escape criticism either. Churning out regular garbage performances that are no better than the much maligned Taylor and Ricketts.

Dreadful game.
Truly pathetic from Flanagan. Why is a professional footballer diving in like that? It was the sort of challenge you see from overweight middle aged men in Sunday league. Can’t wait till he’s shown the door, absolute liability.
Honestly, offload as many of them as we can if we manage to stay up. Bowman looked dreadful when he came on as well. What’s happened to him?
