Quick mention for the ex league side who are pretty certain to be back as a FL team again come the start of next season.
Played 31, 80 points. Won all but 5 of those games. 41 GD.
Currently 22 points clear of 2nd placed Bromley who have played a game more.
Be glad to see you back.

Just needing a maximum of 20 points to guarantee top spot right now. Just 7 wins out of 15. And that's likely to fall as the others drop points along the way.

Good work from the Spireites.
Just an aside, but crazy to think that any one of a number of teams that might finish 30+ or even 40+ points behind them could go up too!

Have a slight soft spot as well for Chesterfield as one of my first town games was against them - I think Sean Dyche was playing in defence.
Always think of them as a League Club.

And they still go on that there should be 2 up automatic due to the rather fluke situation of the previous 2 years where 2 teams were going neck and neck for the title. Was never going to become the normal.

We should be beating the likes of Chesterfield.

We should be beating the likes of Chesterfield.
But hopefully not next season... Unless it's a Cup match.

Cook still feels for me like a upper L1 / Champ level manager. Tremendous by him to return there and is getting the job done this season. Wonder how long they will keep him for this time.

At the other end of the table York City drop to 23rd after a right tonking at Altrincham.

Be interesting to see who comes up via the playoffs though. No obvious candidate.

I'm amazed that no one in the 'Golden Triangle' has been prepared to seriously bankroll Altrincham. They've only gone full time fairly recently. I suppose the spectre of Man Utd just down the road has discouraged investors.

Wonder if any team has ever won a league title by 3rd week in March before (obviously since the days of leagues the size they currently are, so in maybe the last 100 years or so).
Well done Chesterfield. Good to have you back.

Well done Chesterfield. Good to have you back. Reading’s Championship record breaking team (2005-06) got promoted in March. Still hold the record to this day for achieving 106 points.

In the FL maybe. But didnt Wrexham get 110 last year in the National league?
