From our newsletter - Please note that due to the large number of Shrewsbury fans expected for the New Years Day game the "home" and "away" ends will be reversed. At least 1,500 are expected to travel from Shropshire so Vics will have what is normally the "away" end and the Shrews will have the end and side usually reserved for Vics fans. This is because the "away" end at Witton cannot accommodate more than 1,500 fans and police expect more than this and fear trouble if they cannot all get in. The stand cannot be segregated as there are only toilets at one end. Although Vics want a 3.0pm kick off the police are still considering whether to bring it forward

sounds sensible to me, cheers for posting that
although I'm not sure why they'd move the kick off forward - unless they fear trouble?

Maybe they fear trouble - maybe they just don't fancy policing the town centre before the game and a midday kick off would eliminate them from having to patrol the pubs. Its the first ive heard about a change to the kick off time - let you know if i here anything

Same Police force that covered the Chester game.
Perhaps they are learning.
