Strong rumours on both The Football forum and Crawley's unofficial message board (ctfc.net) that fatboy and his number 2 have quit to join Rotherham. Crawley fans are calling him a fat crook and all the other names that the rest of us have been using for yonks. Watch this space!

Crazy days.
We may yet have another game against that fat tax dodging cheat.
And on the day we release another fanzine.
So much fun!

Next season should have been one to remember for Millers fans. Complete car crash of decision that has left most Millers fans on their board bewildered.

Taken from the Rotherham Forum:
'Don't see the problem, a fair number of our fans have criminal records, nearly everyone I know who goes have'.
Priceless.

I really shouldn't get surprised by football anymore, but Rotherham deciding to go for Evans is just bizarre.
After their recent financial problems the last thing they need is a manager who only succeeds by throwing cash at a problem is very strange. Add his iffy past and the fact they will have to pay Crawley compensation too and it's a very strange choice as manager.
Being cynical I wonder if it's engineered by Evans as a get out for him if Crawley don't go up. With their budget they should have walked this league, but could yet miss out.

A quick read on the Rotherham forum and I see a few have mentioned that should Evans be appointed the chairman will go back on his word, apparently suggesting they would attract premiership/championship names. How and with what money? Have I missed new mega rich owners or something?

Would undoubtedly unsettle Crawley but on the down side we'll possibly see his ugly mug at the meadow on Saturday.

Indeed - not something I for one would want!
My only other comment would have to be that Rotherham must be totally, totally, barmy to even consider having such a vile person on their books.

Excellent news.
Buckle's known impending departure to Bristol Rovers has apparently been linked to Torquay's flat performance in the Playoff Final last year. Hopefully, this news will have a similar unsettling effect on Crawley.
And I note that Evans has not said one word about him not being interested in Rotherham's approach!

Very strange, might help us though so who cares. Might work against us if he pulls off a win on Saturday! And might work for us if he doesn't......... would imagine it would make our support the more lively with plenty directed at fat boy... remember our support against Paulo De Canio which spured us on to beat Swindon at GM

"And might work for us if he doesn't......... would imagine it would make our support the more lively with plenty directed at fat boy... remember our support against Paulo De Canio which spured us on to beat Swindon at GM "
And but for a bizarre ref decision that made even GT furious might also have worked at Swindon!

Wow.......... never a dull moment with Crawley of late. A geared up Rotherham could dump Cheltenham out of the race for automatic promotion this afternoon but of more concern is that they could enhance their play-off chances.............. with us up next. And how will a deflated Crawley react at Barnet. Big news that is bound to affect us in one way or another

This defence of Evans sums the man up and everything that's wrong with the legal system after Boston.
“If your honour sends Steve Evans to prison today he will lose his job again. It has already cost him £140,000 in legal fees, fines from the FA and loss of income. I ask for tempering justice with mercy. Is it worth sending Steve Evans to overcrowded prisons? He is terrified of spending one day in prison… There has been the stress and anxiety over four years. He has not slept. His family have not slept. He is terrified”

Evans departure will either go 2 ways I fear: 1- It spurs Crawley on to have something to prove and Rotherham get buoyed up by the time they face us with a new manager 2- The wheels come off the Crawley promotion side and fall apart with Rotherham struggling when they play us Lets hope it's the latter but I'm optimistic this will help us and we really will get promotion now. COYB!
