Shame if its true but a wee man from North of the Border tells me Chris will be plying his trade in the Scottish premier next term.
Shame because I liked the lad.
Good luck at Motherwell Chris

And its European football !
Tribunal beckons but Scottish rules are different to English so that will be interesting.

I believe you are right on the compensation. Hope he does well but a sour taste at being left hanging on so long. Some maturity needed alongside a footballing brain.
Incidentally did a quick google search for some of last years released players that I hadn't heard about on here. Could only find Ashikodi on trial at Aldershot. Chadwick without a club. Herd and Ashton have been well covered elsewhere on here.
Also doesn't look like Asamoah has been taken on by Hamilton, so looks like he will drift out into the ether.
Tough time to be a footballer, but some get more sympathy from me than others.

So now we know that he's off, Simpson can go and get Elliot Bennett in on loan from Wolves for the season.
A far better prospect.

Would be pleased to see humphrey go and bennett come in as Bury fans rate him very highly, but they dont seem able to get him back on loan this season so what chance do we have?

From the club website Simmo said We're going to be taking a fairly big squad over there. My squad that's written out has got 19 players on it but there is a possibility that it may be only 18. I've received a text from Chris Humphrey's agent to say he won't be in for training today, because he is going to speak to another club. So at this moment I don't actually know whether he is going to be here for the game, I would like him to be here, to play some part in the game, to make up the squad, but I will just have to wait and see on that one. www.shrewsburytown.com/page/PreMatchAnalysis/0,,10443~1722439,00.html
