Tim Lewis (Timmy Mallett) There’s been a lot of chat amongst fans about the ejection of one fan from the South Stand during last night’s game with Exeter City. While the club acknowledges that Tim is a larger than life character who adds to the atmosphere of the South Stand he crossed the boundaries of acceptability last night. Tim was warned about his behaviour on a number of occasions and in the end the club had no other option than to eject him from the stadium. Town’s General Manager Jon Harris has spoken to Tim this morning and he accepts that he crossed the line last night. The two have agreed to meet in the near future to sit down and talk through how Tim can continue to add to the atmosphere in the South Stand. One thing we would like to clear up and that is that Tim is not banned from the stadium. Link------> If you need to leave comments pop them here

notworthy notworthy Thanks for clearing this up. I agree he stepped over the line last night, but the general treatment of him is a disgrace. And as for stewards saying he is always drunk, don't let him in the ground in the first place if this is true!

Thanks for clearing it up Ian, as I've just posted on another thread, the rumour was originally started by Shrewschat's 'Ed4Town' and therefore should not be taken seriously.

I don't know Tim at all but I do know people who do and say he a most caring and generous person when not getting het up at football matches. This seems an ideal solution - at least no-one can say he isn't being given the chance to calm down!

Well if you dont ban him for breaking the law where will this end will you not ban a person for throwing a mobile phone at a ref? Will you not ban a person who brings a knife into the prostar? Or will it be one person can break the law and another one cant?

Swings and roundabouts mate, swings and roundabouts.

Sam, according to Ian they havent banned him... I know, but Heavenly wants him banned, and I am pointing out they can't ban Tim as they didn't ban the people I mentioned. personally I think it is a good move by the club not to ban anyone within reason. We need all the passionate supporters we can get!

If someone is arrested, it is in the hands of the police, not the club. I for one am greatful the club have seen common sense here, and am sure Timmy will talk to them and negotiate sensible behaviour while still being able to boost the atmosphere.
