Well done to The Gulls - over 4 games this season we have been second best every time, outsmarted and out fought.
Gracious words from a very good young manager in his post match interview too.
Good luck next weekend.

Good post, thought their manager spoke well on radio Slop as well.

Agreed and they may need it against Stevenage who may well try and spoil their style of play.

Yes 4 miserable games this season I've witnessed I think we have beaten them 3 times in 26 now
Well done Torquay

I would echo that.
They have played football in the right way and in the right spirit and we just have not got anywhere near troubling them.
My only fear for them is a season of struggle if they do go up and losing Buckle

Yes +1 from me. For better team over the two games.
Hope Torquay stuff the spoiling brats from Stevenage (to say nothing about us not having to play Torquay next season at least).

Just watched the "highlights" from the other game tonight. What a horrible team Stevenage are.
Really hope that Torquay do football a favour and go up in style now. They have certainly ruined our season with their effective, entertaining football and pesky skilful forwards.

I was less impressed with Torquay than either Gillingham (2009) and Bristol Rovers (2007). This underlines what an opportunity this year was.

I thought Torquay were up there with Brizzle as one of the best sides we have met in our various play offs shindigs TBF, Over the 2 legs (and the league matches this season) they've been in a different league to us, hopefuly, they will go on and beat Stevenage, and WILL be in a different league next season coz in the nicest possible way im sick of em. Even the most one eyed town fan has to say over the 2 legs the better team won and give Torquay united the respect they deserve.

Torquay certainly played well against us. I am surprised seeing them tonight they didn't challenge for an automatic I hope they go up at Old Trafford

Well done Torquay. Now I can look forward to the Crawley game as it's just 20 miles up the road from here.

Well done Torquay and good luck to you against Stevenage...no doubt you were better than us in all 4 games this season and play a very exciting and attacking game of football.

Just read the report on the Accy v. Stevenage game. Seems that there was 7 minutes of injury time in the first half, and a foul which caused Accy players to lose it big time, with one of their players sent off. Not surprised. Did'nt see the game, but can imagine the manager telling their players to go down( feigning injury) to disrupt the flow of the game. Really hope that TORQUAY stuff em big time, but can see Mr Branson getting targetted in the hope he retaliates and gets sent off. Always a possibility with him. Anyway, well done you Gulls, best of luck in the final.

Much as I'd prefer not to have to play Stevenage again next season, I hope Torquay win. I think they're going to find it hard going next week though.
The fact that Torquay have been so much better than us in our games this season and yet only scraped into the play offs suggests real inconsistency. They'd be in for a season of struggle in League 1, especially if/when Buckle moves on.

TBH Torquay didnt look anything special and they are our bogey side, in the way that we are to Lincoln when we go there. I think Stevenage will do them in all honesty and then Buckle will sod off to Brizzle and in 4 weeks time when the fixtures come out Torquay will be guarenteed at least 4 and licking their lips for when they play us

Buckle's interview was very impressive as was the way in which their front players treasured the ball. Hope they beat Stevenage

Quite sure that Buckle will set up Bristol Rovers in the Torquay mould. A fluid and stylish 4-3-3 which we found impossible to cope with this season. As much as I would like to see Torquay win next Sat my head tells me we would be better playing Buckle-less Gulls side rather than the very awkward Stevenage who will be aiming for auto'd like ourselves next season.

Buckle was very, very complimentary about our support

I like Paul Buckle. First up I couldn't work out whether he was a bit smug and smarmy, but he does just seem like a decent chap.

Good luck to Torquay, comfortably the better team over the two legs.
A massive bogey team of ours - please win promotion so we don't have to play you next year!
